Oh good grief that's fugly.
Lord, can you imagine what it would look like with 32 civs in the game. No wonder they chose Spock to do the intro; only he could review that screen and make sense of it.
"Captain, there is a 96.94531 percent probability that we are ******; I think we should beam down an away team and tackle the problem at the source".
"Ok, Spock, get Bones and that cute green chick from engineering. We are going Soren hunting".
Bones, standing nearby, sputters, "Jim, ******, you can leave me out of it. All of the transporter controls shipped in French and I am not about to have my atoms scattered all over the European Union just so you can save civilization as we know it, again!"
"Relax Bones, Scotty will work it out, sure, someone is going to have their DNA scrambled, but I've been through this before. The green chick always gets it in the end. Green chicks are expendable".
"Now listen to me Captain, you're not fooling me, I know what you do with those green chicks."
Yeah, but. It's an effective form of birth control Bones. Come my friends, let us boldly go where no man has gone before."
"Into the Patch!", all chant as they set phasers on stun and step into the transporter bays.
Scotty downloads them and, shaking his head, mutters "no wonder this series got cancelled".
How could anyone think that foreign advisor screen is more useful? Let's hope it was just some unfinished placeholder that snuck out with the premature patch.

Good, they fixed the Ironwork.
It's VERY interesting that somebody was actually claiming that it worked...
Who was claiming it worked? Was it beta testers? It wouldn't suprise me... that would be admitting you didn't do your job testing the game.... wouldn't it?
In the 1.0 Foreign Advisor screen if Caesar was at war with Cyrus the red line would go through you, so that it looked like you were at war with both. Now, I see they lowered the line for the AI's at top left and top right. Overall, though, I think the screen is still a mess. I'd like to be able to block out the noise if I'm interested in just 1 civs relationships.
On the foreign Advisor screen you can click on any given leader, or shift click on any group of leaders, and have it display only the information lines relative to the selected leader(s).
What's wrong with that screen? You guys do know you can select a leader by clicking, and then it only shows you how that civ relates to the other civs? I don't see how the interface could be any easier. Each line stands out well on its own too.
What were you expecting?

"If there's a child on the south side of Chicago who can't read, that matters to me, even if it's not my child. If there's a senior citizen somewhere who can't pay for her prescription and has to choose between medicine and the rent, that makes my life poorer, even if it's not my grandmother. If there's an Arab American family being rounded up without benefit of an attorney or due process, that threatens my civil liberties. It's that fundamental belief -- I am my brother's keeper, I am my sister's keeper -- that makes this country work." - Barack Obama

The only post from a beta tester in the IW thread I saw was by NYE confirming the bug. Imagine that! (And I know of several other confirmations of that particular bug by beta testers both here and on CFC.)
I think this is the thread you are looking for Diplomatic. VetLegion has kindly bumped it for you even.
So that would mean what exactly? That you appreciated the thousands of hours of time given to this project by the various people from around the world who had a chance, got involved, and stuck with it to try to help make a better civ?
Or that you like to jump on bandwagons and shoot blanks at people on subjects that you have no clue about?

NOTE: Patches usually do not work with old saves and mods. Thats just how civ games are.
This particular patch works fine with original saved games.
It also adopts changed on the fly.
Probably the reason why my 1 turn before space victory save became "2 turns before space victory" save (SS Engine cost increased from 1000 to 1200 hammers).
I also confirm that hotseat diplomacy bug is no more. Yay!
P.S.
I think it can still be gotten from apolyton dir.
(that how I downloaded after notice got removed from this thread)
Actually, all the civ3 patches that I recall ran older civ3 saves. End game results were not reliable, since many game state varaibles were in the save and counldn't be changed, but they loaded and played.
