I would say not completely - satellites don't cover the whole globe. Maybe you could choose an orbit and get intel along it.

that could be if you were to build satellites as improvements/special units.
but if you research satellites as a tech it does not exclude you having more which can cover pretty much the whole globe...
a nice thing could be to have satellite recon missions like current air recon missions. you'd see any 3x3 (or 4x4) tiles you want as long as it is in a certain latitude (there are probably not many sats covering the latitudes above 70° N/S )
the more sats (veery expensive, like some late world wonders) you build, the more area you can cover.

I think this is a wonderful idea, and actually quite feasible; like ICBMs they would have a "home city" that launched them, and could target anywhere on the globe for a 3x3 or 4x4 recon like air units have.

[214] I would like units to have a 'Sleep 10 turns' option (same as Alpha Centauri).
I'm old, and keep forgetting where I parked my units.

I like the idea but would then need a unit that could kill these satellites spying on me! If not kill, then electronically blind above a given city.
With bombers and spies already in place, it would only help on obscure cities anyway. It's not like it would grant a massive advantage over existing methods of surveillance.

Then don't add it!

I made it simple so no extra complexity will be added.

Not good, for gameplay reasons. Some fog is good fog, because it not only reduces tedium, but also reduces the massive amount of AI movement that would spam up your own turns (and that no human can take account of without having each turn take an age).

It does do this. The Most Powerful/Wealthiest/etc. popups I've seen all say things like:
1) Henry the Greatest
2) Some Unknown Civilization
3) Some Unknown Civilization
4) Catherine the Mediocre
5) Montezuma the Not So Good
6) Some Unknown Civilization
7) Some Unknown Civilization
Are you saying you don't see that?
[217] - It should be possible to see the movement of the units of the Civ you're at war with, while movement of peacefull units are not shown
This is already an option: "See Friendly Unit Moves" and "See Enemy Unit Moves". Not specifically about war but you only have an "Enemy" when at war so it stands to reason that the "Enemy" part doesn't apply to peace-time.

It does that, which I hate... As with the other thing I mentioned I wanted implemented was random number of civs in a game, I want to be suprised by how many civs there are. And if I see the above I can tell how many civs there are (at least if there's less than 7)
I want it to show:
1) Henry the Greatest
2) Catherine the Mediocre
3) Montezuma the Not So Good

The last time I activated the "show enemy moves" I had to wait a long time between the turns because I was shown every move within visibility... and I wasn't even at war with anyone
