I didn't see it like that, but now that you mention it, that is a good way to get out of the city window. Maybe they can have an exit button somewhere on the city screen to exit out.

I'm against an exit button. It'll surely be placed in some total unconvenient location and requires you to make long travels with the mouse. And even if not, it's a small area that you can easily miss clicking on.
It's perfect the way it is, maybe highlight the X slightly more, but leave it at that.

I don't like the escape or enter key, as I play this thing as much with the mouse as possible and I couldn't find another way to exit with the mouse only.

I have the same issue!! hope a big patch comes soon!!Gregules

from another site:
"The computer is also WAY too willing to give up cities. I was attacked by the weakest civ last night while I was the strongest, smacked him around a few turns without even entering his territory and he asked for peace, just to see if the refusal message was anything entertaining I asked for all 5 of his cities.
I spent the next 40 turns rushing to get communism and building courthouses and the two alternate seats of govt. "

Mislabeled CD fix
Here is how to get your install/play disks working right. but you have to follow these steps very carefully:
1. Remove install disk from your drive.
2. Get other disk out of special packaging.
3. Search desk drawer for sharpie.
4 Search kitchen for sharpie.
5. Take sharpie back to desk
6. Remove cap to sharpie.
7. Take install disk, strike out "Install" and write "Play."
8. Take Play disk, strike out "Play" and write "install"
9 Make sure you didn't strike out the same word as your wrote.
10. Kinda chuckle at this and move on like you never read it.

Oh, I guess the patch could fix it if somehow they chaged the .EXE to look for files on the actual play disc, but who really minds this issue?

I have a problem. When I invent the tech that allows me to adjust culture rating the culture +/- and text is put on top of the science rate adjuster. if i hit some +/- it fixes itself though. just a minor bug, but another indication that THE GAME AINT FINISHED YET!Diplogamer formerly known as LzPrst

I guess this is because your cd-drive can't get along with the copy protection. Try it in a different drive.

Pressing the 'text' -- 'Press the Enter Key to Return' in the City screen with left clicking mouse does work, the same text in the game screen does not work, so that is a bug.
Also the only time one can change video resolution is from the Main Menu Screen and the Advanced Button, it will not work inside the game while playing when clicking the button to bring up the menu there.
The game slows down, and uses too much memory eventually, and probably has a memory leak, so it needs a patch. The *.bik files do not play correctly, and I verified that with the game Pirates! last night, as Pirates! does no matter which version of Direct X 9.0c included with either game.
Other than that, have not gotten any further.
*.bik files are the movies files for the game -- opening movie where sound cuts in and out, and all the other *.bik files like for the end of game, and whatever.
The game so far (on a tiny map with 3 civs) plays fine, but eventually will slow down, get laggy, and probably use more memory than it should (I had a standard map game - Terra - started with 5 civs and it did not take as long to get flaky and slow down to where I had to give the order for the Scout to move 3 times, and then I save and exit the game).
Then on the Save Game or Load Game section, it would be nice to have something there to delete old saved games and keep the folder where you want to save games, instead of the thing like Pirates! where it all is in 'My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's whatever game (like Pirates! or Civ IV) whereas I copied all of that for the Saved Games to the folder I installed the game in, and repeatedly have to find that folder (which can be done) and I do save there in that logical partition.
Well, that is it for now!
