  • That's exactly what they should not, really. Civ2 was good, but to make a new copy of it is not the smartest thing they can do...

    • Not a copy; Civ2 + a lot of cool stuff civ2 missed

      • Well, you see, the problem is that making a new Civ2 will never make the civ2 fanatics content, and will probaly alienate the great group of people wanting to have game move on. And I'm pretty sure it will be difficult to get many new players to buy it. All in all, a nono for Firaxis, don't you think?

        • Fireaxis exists to please me!
And I will be happy with Civ4, as long You can easily change civ2 scenarios into civ4 format; I don't want this fantastic world of civ2 scenarios to die or vegetate in a corner

            • I dream of civ4 that wouldn't disappoint me the way civ3 did. And I have a right to it.

              • The only thing you have a right to is to whine about how everything disappoints you.

That and learning C++ and making your own game that fulfills all of your wildest dreams.

                      • Don't ask me.

But you've only got two options. Learn C++ or take what they give you.

I'm sure that a local College will teach you.

                          • There are no colleges here, just linguistic ones

You forget that France actually colonized the Malouines (Falklands) in the late 1700's by Bougainville before the islands got returned to Spain to avoid any conflicts.

I don't know when the Brits took over from Spain though...

                              • Is C++ still the most common programming language?

I'm such a "gobby" git, and have been so annoyed with some Mk2/3/4 game versions, but whilst so full of idea's, I thought I should perhaps learn programming myself, at my age!

If you say it still is C++- then that is what I need to learn?
