OK, I'm bored and I'm thinking of getting myself a 360. However, I don't have a HDTV. I plan to use my monitor instead, a somewhat old 17inch LG flat panel with a resolution of 1280x1024. I know the 360 supports that resolution, but I also know that the games were meant to be played in 720p. Will some games look like ****?

Depends on the publisher. Microsoft's disk replacement policy was very generous the last time I checked.

Just confirmed: Download a form, send them your disk, wait 2 weeks, bam, new disc.

Thanks, but I just googled the form you mentioned and you left off the part where I have to pay £10.

It's an old game - I can get 4 new disks for that price.

TEN pounds? That's silly. $5 is the most I could imagine paying for a replacement disc, and even that is quite high compared to the cost of a disc and shipping (at most $2).

It has been used to fix disc read errors with other 360 games, but I don't know if it a issue for LO. Probably at least worth a try though.
