Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I'd give it about a 7 out of the box. Great game but needs some work. I'd hope that the first major patch covers stability issues and it would also be nice to see things like fast travel fixed as well as some play balance tweaks. I'd also like to see keyboard mappings at some point. There are some good quests though - The Family didn't turn out as I expected and nor did Tenpenny Towers which gives a few options to explore next time.
What I think will make it a 8.5/9 are the mods assuming they appear. More use of schematics and work benches for one - the ability to modify weapons perhaps, more variety, make ammo. Also there's an awful lot of wasteland out there for people to add additional encounters.
On the nuke cola quest - i drank one of the quantums during a firefight are there more than 30 out there or have I blown that quest?
8.5/10 for me so far (too much other stuff in my life currently, so I haven't gotten to play it as much as I'd like recently). I really enjoy the immersion and while it isn't as funny (dark humor and pop culture wise) as Fallout 1 & 2, you definitely feel like you are in the post apocalyptic wasteland. Hopefully the rest of the main quest has the great story as the first couple games did.

Yeah, you may want to stay out of Grayditch. I had a good small guns skill and accuracy with one-handed weapons, so my approach for fire ants was to try and find the meanest ones (soldier / warrior ants) and shoot their antennae off. Then run away, hoping to lure these guys into the vicinity of some other ants, then watch the fireworks.

Enjoy that... ammo is supposed to be scarce. So you actually have to think about it and occasionally buy some. It's still possible to have hundreds of rounds for every weapon, so you better enjoy the shortage while you can.

I found that by doing the wasteland survival guide questline, I leveled up at a nice pace with ammo gradually rising. Did run completely out once, another time had to rely on a laser pistol.
Really wish the levels went to 25 with an additional couple skills (say-light and heavy armor).
Just went through SatCom NW-05a. Quite a treat
I wanted my next playthrough to be an pure evil stealth melee guy, but I just don't see that happening-too much firepower against me. Maybe a melee/energy weapon hybrid.
Just wait. I bought the game when it came out, played it a bit, but I'm not going to play it through for a few weeks. Patience is a virtue.
