  • So what is the dealio with the Springvale school?

I kill all the raiders and work my way down to the basement, looking for the "vault."

Oh WTF, the vault, I just realized what it is. I was thinking like a gigantic safe. They are probably talking about my vault.

Did anyone find anything remotely interesting down in the basement, besides a bum load of ants.
We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

    • I found my first Assault Rifle down there. There were a couple of bodies in and among the ants, that's where I picked it up. I think there may also have been a skill book (Chinese Army Special Ops?) too, but not certain now.
Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.

      • Quillan is entirely right.

Gramps, there are many incidental locations where the reward is pretty modest. A "good haul" might consist of some skill books (which do have a hard cap for each) and maybe a bobblehead (ditto).

You won't really find troves of huge amounts of weapons or caps, except maybe in some of the clearly military locations.

Many locations give you this sort of softly-softly reward.

          Thanks AC

          One question here:

When you say Books in post, when I go to pick it up it will tell me what kind of book?

I say that because I have seen a ton of books when scrounging through sites, but mostly say large or small "blan" by blank I mean no real detail, I think they say burned or charred maybe if my memory serves correctly?

          Thanks again Sis

Oh and as for your new avatar, ~meh~..other one, pic, is much sweeter

Bobbleheads are unique items to collect. Whenever you find one one of your skills gets increases permanently. They look like the bobblehead that comes with the special edition of the game. They are very rare and hard to find. I believe there's only like 10-15 of them in the game and they are very small so you can easily pass by one a couple of times before you find it

There are three types of books:

large/small burned books. Pretty useless, not worth to pick up

Pre-war book. These are good quality books that have not been damaged. At some point in the game a person wants to buy those books. You can make quite a lot of money with it, but these books are rare

Special books. These could be called e.g. Tumblers Today or Tesla and me (or something like that). These books show up in your inventory under aid. Clicking on one of those books increases one of your skills (e.g. "Tesla and me" increases your energy weapons skill
This space is empty... or is it?

                      • I saw the book, but could not pick it up (there was a body in the way and could not move it...or blast it out of the way), the rifle was against a wall IIRC.

Well great, I wasted some ammo and some mines trying to "blow" some corridors.

                        • You can move bodies with the "z" key. That'll "pick up" something without putting it in your inventory. You can move crap around like that to get to loot.

Yup, got a new computer, and got the game. Freaking awesome. Only found two bobbleheads so far.
