  • it's hard playing my alts. I just don't want to do the same old quests over and over. But I like playing a warlock and shaman.

And even know I suck as druids, I still want to play one. I haven't figured that one out. Although I don't think I suck that bad. Bear form faces the same limitations as fighters and pallies. They can handle 2 mobs, just not 3. Yeah warriors have cleave. But it's not fast enough, and you get pounded too fast with 3 people banging on you. Actually my shaman faces the same problem. And I can't get my healing spells off with 2 or 3 people banging on me. Pallies don't have to worry about this so much as they can shield, the others cannot.

And the simple fact is I love my hunter. I enjoy playing him. But I think I enjoy him because he's an easy class. I want to know I can beat this game playing a hard class. Playing a hunter is like playing in the minor leagues. They are so powerful, they can just rake through any enemy. Elite or now. Once I found hunter, I never paid much serious attention to the other classes (I completely stopped playing my ne druid). It's hard going back to being scared of extra adds. But in that aspect, my hunter can be boring, as there's no threat of dying. Though I did die yesterday after setting off a mana bomb. The bomb destroyed all the mobs. So I minimize wow, to look something up, and all the mobs came back at once 30 seconds later. I can't handle 5 or more mobs.

in any case, my hunter is 3 bars away from level 65. I need to push him up to 70. I zoomed through 64 fairly fast because of the rest bonus. rest bonus is the only way to go. It's what I want to do with all my other chars. I played my shaman the past 2 days until his rest bonus was used up. He's 32 now.

    • With a druid I could chain equal level mobs, taking two and three at a time (killing a total of 6 or so).

      • How much gold do you have Dis?
        Just curious.

          • okay I was really bored.

created a level 1 blood elf female, and attempted to take her all the way to night elf lands.

I ran into a snag in rutteran village in Teldrassil. I died right at the beginning of the pier. But my ghost ressurected in Darkshore. You can't take ships when in ghost form. No way to recover my body where it is.

I created a level 1 night elf just to take a screenshot. Just for the hell of it, I drowned him nearby. He ressed in Darnassus. So I guess that's why my BE couldn't res nearby. As you can't res in an enemy city.

I know from my orc though, if you die in Darnassus, you will res outside the city.

I'm not done with her. I will res her in darkshore some other day and take her to Dranei lands.

Too bad it doesn't show the level on the dead body. I wanted more people to go: WTF!. I did see a 14 NE hunter looking at the body for a while.

She is level 2 btw. I popped too many new areas, and couldn't keep her at 1. I tried to ghost walk, but it wouldn't let me rez at a different graveyard. Yet I did it with my Hunter. Strange. maybe you have to be a certain level to do that.

                Not true.

Being the obsessive completist I am, I do every quest possible. When I discovered that there was a neutral faction (Argent Dawn) quest available for Black Fathom Depths, but that the quest giver was in Darnassus, I didn't let it hold me back!

To get the quest I swam up the west coast from Zoram to Darkshore, drowned myself beneath the pier. I rezzed in the ship's hold, and made the journey over water, then jumped into the water on the other side and got as far as I could staying on the left side going towards the portal. At this point I had to choice but to run for the portal, and of course died several times - corpse hopping. Each time I came back as a ghost in Darkshore, and simply got on the boat as a ghost to get back for the next hop. Once through the portal your ghost starts in their starting area though, so it gets easier, and it only took 2 or 3 more hops to the Argent Dawn NPC.

There is? The only one I found was hidden in the instance. Had to swim into another part of the cave system to find him.

I think we're talking about the same NPC - he starts a quest for you, but he also finishes the Argent Dawn quest, which is to find him. (So you don't have to back to Darnassus to turn it in.)

                      • here's another screen shot of outlands for those of you who have not been there yet.

I think it looks cool, and I don't even have the highest graphics settings. EQ2 is a better looking game. But wow looks good and performs well on my system, unlike eq2. I wish I had a widescreen flat monitor though. When I get a job I may spend the money to get one.

Sure you can - or I wouldn't have been able to ride it back for each corpse hop.

                            • If you just missed a boat, it can be a long wait - the zeppelins seem to come more frequently, but that's just my impression.

                              • I love travelling to new lands. Lastnight I got very sick of all the lands around the Barrens and decided to go somewhere far far away and I found.. Alterac Mountains and especially Arathi Highlands! It's a perfect area for my level, finally I am getting somewhere again. It's my favourite land so far. I like open space, lots of green, a few scattered bush and tree's, and lots of rocks.
