Is there something about Razorfen Downs I don't know? I can't get anyone much less my own guild to run it with me and the quest doesn't even require entering the instance.

Seriously, the Horde runs it fairly often, it's just that you need to LFG elsewhere - STV can be a good place. Having a Warlock to summon people is a good idea - the boss drops very nice warlock robes (IIRC) so you should definitely have a Warlock.

Alliance? Forget it.

I did RFD with alliance. Very easy place to get to, very close to the Marsh which has an alliance base.

I have never done it, and don't remember getting any quests for there. It's funny how some instances are more popular than others.

Sunken temple is a hard one to get a party for. And at least a couple classes have quests there. Hunter being one of them. But I finally got it done at level 62.

yeah I don't get it. I don't think it was including my pet damage. If he was doing that much damage, I shouldn't have been able to pull aggro from him.

I'm finally starting to get crits over 1000 now. Although usually they are in the 800 range. I got steady shot at level 62, nifty shot.

It aint much, but as a paladin at 70 I can do about 3,000-3,100
damage in about 7-8 seconds.

Only if my reckoning goes off, and I use seal of righteousness with my slow 2 hander, and also throw in an instant holy shock with divine favor.

oh well.

edit: that's about 2 swings worth of weapon time for me.

Sunken temple is a hard one to get a party for

My experience is that Maraudon is hard to get a party for, because everyone in that range either goes for Zul Farrak or Sunken Temple.

I'd love any tips people have for sequence of attack/abilities for my lvl 38 Pally.

Right now I generally:
Open with Mana Tap if a spell caster, then Seal of Righteousness, Judgement, Seal of Righteousness, Consecration - repeat Judgement/Consecration as needed - throw in a Hammer (stun) at the end to keep 'em from running away

I generally do quests with one friend, who's a lvl 36 Priest, and unless he gives me some decent time or uses only minor stuff, he often can take aggro from me.

I typically have my threat booster (30 mins) up, Blessing of Sanctuary on him, and King's on me.

Oh, and is it me, or do Pally's just suck at PvP? Seems I'm always getting shafted by most other classes - sometimes a couple levels lower than me too.

My spec is Prot, btw.

It's been a while so at 38, what you do would be talent oriented too.

Right now all I can tell you is what I usually do at 70.

I cast seal of the crusader on myself for the holy damage buff (left that out on my above post), get into range and judge the mob with the crusader, immediately cast seal of righteousness and divine favor, then let holy shock go (and divine favor gives it a 100% chance to crit which is,for me, about 1000-1100), then hack away with SoR still up and hope reckoning goes off.

I not usually a seal/judge/seal/judge type of paladin.

In pvp, you can do well if you heal and no one notices you are healing. But usually i'm spotted and mowed down.

Just the other night I had a fun couple of encounters ina battleground. I followed behind a warrior charging one of the flags and stayed back yet in healing range. There were 4 horde there...........he wiped them all out because no one noticed or cared that i was healing him.

That same night I actually beat a rogue (at half health). He was dancing around me jokingly not taking me seriously, then jabbed me and reckoning went off, a few swings later he slumped to the ground. Of course if he were not at half health i would have lost i'm sure.


edit: and yes, i throw in a consecrate too.

I'd imagine now it is, but back in the day everyone ran Maraudon because it was the only source of nature resist gear that you could get before tier 2 AQ40 gear.

had fun tonight, but the server keeps going down. twice today.

I ran my horde through azuremyst and bloodmyst isle, including the newbie area. I could kill the first 2 guars at the newbie area, but the 2 level 65's killed my pet. So I just ran through the rest. Killed a level 2 newbie. yes I'm proud of myself. . He attacked me first with his piddly little shaman lightening. What was he thinking?

Raided the town of blood something or other on bloodmyst isle. Very easy as the guards are only level 22 or so. I killed everyone I could. some NPC's were unkillable for some reason. A couple level 51's showed up later, but didn't challenge me. It was a warrior and mage. I did have a level 12 mage think he could cast arcane missiles at me . I wasted an expensive arrow on him, should have let the pet handle it like I did with the others.

Then off to Teldrassil and Darnassus. My Paladin buddy in my guild has crusader aura, so he has a really fast mount, and was able to get through Darnassus. I couldn't do it without getting dismounted and netted. I died just before running out of Darnassus. Then the night elf newbie area. I died here too . I couldn't outrun the guards like I could in the dranei starting area. perhaps because I was facing 6 instead of 4 (I killed 2 in the dranai area).

Then the assault on the night elf starter city. This was more difficult than the drane as the guards were level 65 again. Strangely I could take 2 level 65 ne guards without my pet dying, but not dranei guards. hmm. they aren't listed as elite, but they do have over 11000 hitpoints and hit pretty hard. I wanted to kill that giant thing that walks around, and was in the proess of doing so when the server went down.

Oh well, I'll start off there tomorrow. Unfortunately no rest bonus. oh well.

I'm about to give up on this game because of the spam though. The whispers weren't that bad. But now I'm getting party invitations from low level characters (I think they are level 1). I even created a new character, and I saw a level 1 newly created character (with a gibberish name like aadfadls) in the newbie zone just standing there. I know they were running some computer addon to send out invitations or whispers to everyone.

They are hitting all zones. They even found my 64 Orc Hunter in Teldrassil. Not a place you'd expect to find horde players. My Orc is getting hit the most. But even my low levels are getting them. I made the mistake of hitting accept one time. I ended up in some raid group with the raid leader yelling out gold spam messages. .

This is worse because the party invitation comes up over everything else like when you are fighting monsters. I almost died because of one. I've had it with this game and spam. Blizzard needs to do something about this. Or I will cancel my subscription.
