Ca someone please tell me hoe to get into the castle after you close the first oblivion gate.
I don't see any way in at this point. I've been all around the castle, in the moat, and even tried to climb the trees....help!
I did notice some clipping where if I stood close enough to the wall, I could see in. First I thought...meh, magic wall, then no....
Damn too late to continue tonight.
BTW, I don't notice any difference with the .ini tweaks. We're sorry, the voices in my head are not available at this time. Please try back again soon.

Nice cozy cottage in the country for sale. Never mind the gate to hell in the back yard...
Cowboy are you in the city trying to get to the castle or are you not even in the city yet? You need to talk to the head guard outside the city, set it as your active quest and the marker should tell you where to go. If I knew how to post a spoiler as others have done I would explain more.

Spoiler:Have you gone to the underground tunnel from the Chapel? You walk through there, emerge, and then go through the ruins fighting until you end up at the gatehouse, where you can open the doors to the castle.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. how do I cast magic?
I want to use a heal spell on myself and have it hotkeyed to 1, but I press 1, nothing happens, I press 1 for a few seconds and the hotkey ring appears.
-very confused
So, I can fight with my weapon on the LMB, cast magic with the RMB and block with ALT. Works very well for me!

Great idea Kinjiru! sometimes I hit the v key by accident, especially in times of panic
I like to run around from 3rd view, and fight in 1st, so whenever a wolf comes out of nowhere, I try to hit the r key to get back to 1st view to fight, but end up hitting every other key around it, all the while being eaten to death (ok not really to death).be free

I was curious who the voice actors were for Oblivion, and what they've done before.
IMDB has them listed.
I knew Patrick Stewart was the voice of the Emperor, his voice is very recognizable. I admit I was surprised that Sean Bean was the voice of The Lost Heir. The voice of Dagon is Terrence Stamp who was the Supreme Chancellor in The Phantom Menace. I would have sworn John Cygan did the voice of the Nords, but apparently not.
Most of the other voice actors also did voices in Morrowind and its expansion packs, some also did voices in the title before Morrowind, the Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard game.
Also a note about saved games. Even though you can't name them in the game you can rename saves in Windows. You can rename them whatever you want (within reason) and they'll load up fine. Just keep the .ess extension.Last edited by Silver14; March 30, 2006, 04:08.

What I dont' like about the voices is that it seems to shift to a different actor for no reason at all... (when you are talking to the same person on the street)

I've noticed that as well. Only from what they say on the street to when you speak to them directly. A little more variety for the races would have been good as well.
I like the actor who did the Dark Elf males, at the start of the game what the Dark Elf prisoner says to you is dependent on your race and I'm guessing your sex but I havn't played a female yet. I especially like what he says to you if you are a male Dark Elf as well.

It shifts to a different actor if you ask someone with a slightly unique voice about something that has a canned response.
The voice acting overall isn't bad, but sometimes cheesy, and sometimes you can really here that there were just a few actors doing the recordings, you know, when every non-critical character sounds alike.Solver, WePlayCiv Co-Administrator

Viola! Saved game with your name.
I only use it for a save at a critcal game changing point, otherwise I'm just using the normal save (which reminds me of Dungeon Seige actually).
So for example, just before I left the sewers I typed
~ save beginings
And I now have a save called "beginings".

They should have hired a few more low-profile voice actors do some of the voices, the production value feels rushed and hammy. Use the budget you had to hire Sean Bean and Terence Stamp or something.Cake and grief counseling will be available at the conclusion of the test. Thank you for helping us help you help us all!
