Hehehe... It's okay tomake the deal. I'm waaaay off getting my revenge. When the time comes we can sort it out. Maybe throw me out of the alliance beforehand or something.

Edit: BTW, if people are dealing with other alliances it may be smart to announce that in the alliance screen so we all know what's going on.

Yep. I'm old fashioned this way. When you are ranked in the statistics screen you just don't take out a small guy that hopes to have reached 3000 points when he gets home that evening. With IPM's no less.

And do you really think that they'd care what one of them did two weeks ago?

A note on colonies:

with hindsight, I expanded a bit too fast: having 9 planets requires quite a few fleetshots to operate them effectively. Today I will finish Computer tech 10, giving me 11 slots and perhaps giving me enough to work with.

Computer tech 10 is very expensive though (200k C and 300k D). A bit too expensive.

So perhaps it is better to first settle 6 colonies or so, get Comp-tech 8 (affordable) and build from that. The last two colonies can come at a later stage.

In my experience, 2 extra slots as compared to your planets will give you resonable operative flexibility. With less, fleets will get stuck. Especially nasty if you need to fleetsave.

Be warned that he has his shipyard building more static defences as we speak. He had 17 ion cannons before, now 19. Any chance you can make a missile strike on this guy Germanos? He is slightly out of range of my missiles in system 2.

No, I can't
The colony is destined to get them, but I will have to start from scratch: it will take a while.

I'll see if I can hit him later today. Any scans are welcome, also post-strike.

The idea is to send my fleet to a closer system, from where I have a 1 1/2 flight to the bastard.
But since he is active now, I might delay the attack untill this evening, hoping to hit him unprepared.

I don't think he is active actually, just had a build-queue in his shipyard that is completing itself. He resources are not being spent at all despite my shipping moving towards him. Granted, he still has plenty of time to do so, but I think he isn't there. Once his ion cannons reached 20 they have stopped increasing. I'll check back later to make sure again, of course.
