The weakest are the first to go. If you send large cargoes with cruisers, then the cargoes will get hit first. If you send large cargoes, cruisers, and light fighters, then the cheap rubbishy fighters will bite the dust before the far more useful cargoes do.

Were you off line when the attack was anounced in your messages? If so, always, always fleetsave when you're gone for a while. It happened to me two weeks ago.

Edit after reading DoY's spy report: his defences are way out of my league

They're not out of my league, but I can only manage a draw, and I'm guessing that this is only because his ships are out raiding Odin. Odin, can you post his surviving ships so that we can get a better idea of what we might be facing?
But he's only got Hyperspace Engine 3, so that means no BBs.

A cue is either an announcement for an actor/actress to appear on stage, or the implement used by a snooker/pool player to pot the balls left on the table.
A queue means a line, and comes from the French word for tail.
