I will soon start research on comp-tech 9. I have postponed research for destroyers, I will need a million crystals to get that.
I figure I better invest that in battleships first.

I have the feeling that progress will be very slow from now on. Looting will be difficult and not without losses


We really need to stick together to wipe out smaller alliances and steal all they got

Damn! I was sure that I'd be able to build battleships by the weekend, but I doubt I'll even have HE 3 by then.

A massive tip to new players: don't be stupid like me!
Make a list of all the scans you've performed, and all the cows you've identified. This will save you a fortune in deut and time in the future.

germanos, I'd like it if the deut shipment arrived when I'm there (), so if you want to send some soon then 7am your time would be good, because I usually have a look when I'm having my breakfast. But if I get it before the weekend, then I'll just end up putting it towards HE 3 or 4, and not have any left to raid people in this weekend's apolyssault. Who are we attacking, by the way? Not the number 2 alliance!

While the attrition on such a list is rather high, it still saves quite a lot of time and provides regular income.

Note to Self:

Since score is determined by how much you spend (10K metal, crystal, or det = 1 point). It would be better to spend it on ships or research rather than infrastructure. You might have a better chance of survival after you cross 5K.

Infrastructure can't be destroyed. Neither can research. Shipping, defences and resources are the only things that can be hit. That being said, I advocate building defences even though they can be overcome. My current defences (assuming tech parity) can hold off a force of 50 battleships. The trick is to make a raid not worth the effort for a force of over 50 battleships.

EDIT: Surprisingly, the defences cost just over the amount it would take to build 20 battleships.

The guy that got me had like 12s on everything while I only had 5s and 6s.

Check that Speed sim shows that 50 can be held off with

50 sm l
10 hvy l
10 gaus
10 ion
10 plasma
1 lrg shield.

Not much survives on either side except debris and a 5% chance for a moon.

Unfortunately, I was hit with 250 battleships.

Note to self: Start fleet saving when your score is above 4400.
