The Altera Centauri collection has been brought up to date by Darsnan. It comprises every decent scenario he's been able to find anywhere on the web, going back over 20 years.

I found an open space 8 for my first colony. That's not too bad, is it?

Ok, I've just done some scanning of my nearby systems, looking for new cows - so far, there are very few that have any significant resources.
Could someone with a good espionage stat scan 3:477:10 (Universe 8) for me? It's been inactive for 4 weeks at least, but I can't get buildings or defenses on the scan. Much appreciated.
Also, is there a way to tell if a planet is somebody's home planet, or a colony? I wouldn't want to be raiding the new colony of a top ranked player.

All the top-ranked players are in alliances, so that will be obvious at first anyway.
Of the few who aren't, then they won't be too worried about your raiding them because they'll have such a high espionage score that you'll only get to see their resources. I hope you aren't blind raiding, are you?

In the search function you can enter the player's name, the list that follows will give you the name (and position ) of his main planet.

Since he's active, I need to be at home when the battle takes place. ETA 24:30-1:00 tomorrow morning (so, in about 11 hours). Two hits in a row. For those who want to take part of the loot (although hopefully 3/4 will be in my cargo holds ) prepare to follow...
Close to a 100 ships will take place in the battle. I expect there to be enough material for 2 recyclers when it's over (I hope it's not more. I'm not sure if I can trust speedsim too much)
I got 121 fields on my slot 8 colony, I suppose that's pretty good. Colonies!
Gaze upon beautiful Embadra!
Diameter 11040 km ( 3 / 121 fields )
Temperature approx. -4°C to 36 °C

Mine has (7/164 fields) - one better than my home planet!
I've already had a visitor to my colony, so have decided to send 4 heavy fighters there just in case.
No-one else has even been interested in my home planet.
