I'm starting my first real raid. Its against an inactive, but I need all my battleships just to defeat them without any loss.

Can anyone who is playing in another universe tell us what their ranking is? I have seen the number in Universe 8 vary between 8700 - 9200 (I assume it goes down when Inactive accounts are deleted and up as new players join). I would be curious to hear how someone in another universe ranks, and how many players there are.

One of your fleets (Large Cargo Ship:5 Cruiser:5 Battle Ship:11 ) returns from 2:81:7 to Chellius [2:83:4] . The fleet delivers 66647 metal, 59032 crystal and 12205 deuterium
Thats my biggest haul so far. 1 small cargo was lost in the battle. Silly me, forgot to speedsim the battle with him included.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Here is something else I found on the wikipedia:
Something to keep in mind when we are sharing resourcesPushing
From OGame Wiki
Pushing is defined as a lower ranked player sending resources to a higher ranked player. This is a bannable offense and the Game Operators often check logs and ban both the person sending the res to higher ranked player (the pusher) and the player who received the resources (the pushed).
Trading with a player ranked higher than you is permissible, but the trade must be completed within 24 hours of the first delivery of the trade.
If a player within the alliance is crashed, and other players ranked lower than him wish to send the crashed player resources, it must be approved by a game operator first.
Sending resources to a higher ranked player is also permissible when it's for a service such as a "loaned phalanx" or a "headhunt" as long as the game operator is notified first and grants permission.
There are no rules concerning a higher ranked player sending a lower ranked player resources.

Hurrah! I now have a small cargo ship!
Any advice on what to do with it?~ If Tehben spits eggs at you, jump on them and throw them back. ~ Eventis ~ Eventis Dungeons & Dragons 6th Age Campaign: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4: (Unspeakable) Horror on the Hill ~

Would be wise to send it to an inactive (either i or I) player who is also undefended. However, until you get Espionage and probes, you can't tell who is undefended. You should be able to get someone to scan a planet for you and tell you if it has defenses and if it has enough resources to be worth sending it.
I see you are in Galaxy 3 which is the same as me, but at the other end of it.
All my fleet slots are currently full or I would scan for you, but have you checked out the Galaxy Page yet to see if there are inactive players in teh same system as you?
Beware that checking the galaxy screen costs you 10 deuterium per page so don't check often if you can help it

I found someone who has no shield tech, espionage tech at level 1 yet has laser tech researched up to level 10. Level 10 costs 102,400 metal and 51,200 crystal. Who would do such a thing? Its not like you need laser tech to that level early on.
EDIT: Probes sent to 3:23:9. In roughly 2 minutes time I'll have a scan of the planet for you.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

My advice is to hit it multiple times. Remember, you can attack it 3 times in 3 waves per day maximum. Each wave has to occur in a 30 minute period. So if you attack at 1:02, 1:14 and 1:29, you can still attack the planet with another two waves later that day.
In other words, get more ships too.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

and as this planet is in your system
, undefended
, inactive
and with plenty of resources
(7 times what your small cargo can hold) you should be sending your ship as we speak. (and sending it again when it gets back, but no more then three times or you will be bashing them, which is not allowed).

I now have a recycler, so I can now "help" in any new alliance wars we have.

If you also back that up with probe-crashing a target before the battle (so our recyclers can start flying to a debris field before a big battle takes place) that will actually be useful.
Making your own debris fields is always better though. I've just made one around another planet. I think the guy is inactive.I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).
