Chairman Kit Chuss knew that he was in the disadvantaged position versus his capitalist foe Mr. Y. Although he had allies, his total shipping count was only two thirds of Mr. Y's, a statistic which posed a serious risk in the event spies disrupted joint operations.

With his industrial base also smaller and the risk of war too near to make investment in a seventh base economical, a plan was devised for Operation Red Constellation, a gamble to expand the People's empire rapidly.

Surveying the targets, planners set their eyes on the other capitalist running dog lackey- the Siffan Corporation. Ideology was not the only motivator- with 26 bases, Siffan Corporation was also the biggest prize. But at the same time, with the third largest fleet, also a big challenge.

Nontheless, Chuss had full faith in the Titanium Will of the New Tassadarist Thought, and ordered the attack to begin.

Annexation

Here is something to think about
Once one falls, the rest will go like dominoes.

On Siffan's base of HQ5, alarms sounded as sensors picked up readings of incoming ships. The fleet was scrambled as telescope crews looked for identifying markings.

"****, it's the Commies!"

"Run!"

Not wishing to face down a stronger foe, the fleet disengaged in true cowardly capitalist fashion. All 26 bases were captured without a fight.

27 laserfrigates and 7 torpedofrigates were scrapped to cover the subsequent supply shortfalls.

Balance of Power

Here is something to think about
The best defense is equilibrium.

With the latest annexation, the Tassadarists brought a third of the galaxy's industry under the guidance of the Thirteenth International. Fleet tonnage still lagged behind Mr. Y's imperialist oppressors, however, and it would require many years at the current rate to close the gap.

Many questions now loomed- when to make the move? What to do about Polly Siffan, who was sure to attack something in the near future.

Well... not one frigate, I sent my other obsolete ships along with it. It couldn't have been more than 30 BPs worth, though.

This is why I feel I should have the option of seperate OOBs based on fleet size, if I choose to send them. I will allow such in the game I'm GMing at Event btw. It is reasonable that the commander of the fleet be asked to leave only if the fleet is large
