Here is something to think about
Opposites attract, often explosively.

Jonchastan was among just six of the original planets to have yet escaped the ravages of war, and it was here that the new leaders of the universe met to sign the Jonchastan Pact.

The press lauded it as a union of the Church, the State, and the People, while in actuality, it was more of the Church and State under the protection of the much larger People's Navy.

Invasion plans were discussed and fleets mobilized. To lead off the battle, a spy was dispatched by Kit Chuss.

Chapter 15.5
Evil Genius

Here is something to think about
Nothing is foolproof, but some things are spyproof and fleetproof.

Kit Chuss showed some unease at the failure of his spy to report back on the sabotage mission. Nontheless, the joint invasion of the volcanic planet of Moolah was not going to be called off over such a minor delay.

Once again, however, Mr. Y's enemies had underestimated the quiet genius. Shields were up, and the damage to the torpedoes was staggering, costing the allied force of General Ordin, Ken Banobi, and Kit Chuss 67 buildpoints worth of shipping.

General Ordin got off lucky, as he only had two Torpedotitans. Kit lost three dreadnaughts and five titans, while Ken lost a cruiser, seven battleships, a titan, and took damage to a second titan.

With this latest blow to his foes, Mr. Y's fleet strength remained above the 1/3rd mark.

Here is something to think about
An iron forcefield has descended across the galaxy.

On one side, possibly the most brilliant stratagist in the universe. On the other, a motley crowd of populism. And on the side, older powers seeking former glory. The shield impact at Moolah had been a sleeper, but who knew when and where the war would turn hot.
