Phony War

Here is something to think about
Flies are hard to hit with sledgehammers.

One would think that Mr. Y, with more than a third of the galaxy's fleet, would do some serious muscle flexing to add to his empire. What we saw though was more of a warmup.

First, a secret agent was dispatched at the Socialists to thwart a potentially messy attack. The agent failed to return, however, with spy satellites last tracking his spaceship reporting it having impacted a shield.

With that out of the way, a small but sizeable part of the Fleet was sent at the Senator, who promptly disengaged, abandoning a single base.

Some time later, Agathari arrived, his eyes also set on the single base. Not willing to pick a fight with Mr. Y, the fleet quickly withdrew to another dark corner of the galaxy and further attrition.

Polly's capitalist lap dog lackey status was confirmed today, when last round's base gift from Mr. Y was returned 15-fold, leaving Polly with only a single newly built base.

This put Mr. Y at a total of 51 bases, 5 of which were self built, and only 21 BPs in annual production behind the Socialists.
