      I got it. Very cool.

      The demo is incredibly easy, however. You'd have to try to not win it on your first attempt.

        yep, i'd guess they don't want to put off the 'casual' gamer by making it too hard

          Did you turn the settings up to expert. Some players from .org found it challenging at that level.
          We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI

              It wasnt so heavy as I was afraid it would be. The game was quite alright on 1680x1050 and medium/high details. It seemed to have more in common with the Praetorians than I thought it would. Overall looks great.

                  I took some screens. I will post them here soon. They are 1680x1050 so they will ruin the view but so what, they look great

                            Not that I needed convincing, but I'm sold having played the demo. A lot of people at some of the tw fan sites are complaining that the Trebia battle goes too fast. Big deal - how often have you played a historical battle from STW or MTW? What I care about is the campaign game, and the tutorial demonstrates quite well how far apart the armies will begin a battle in the campaign game. Plenty of room for manuever prior to combat. Should be delicious.

                            Now back to waiting.......
