Polycast, stay or go?

I, along with probably every other member of the site, am shocked and disappointed in the recent statement by DanQ that he wants to take Polycast over to the site that shall not be named. I was, and I am sure that the current administration, was under the assumption that PolyCast would remain Dan's way of keeping up with the day to day running of Apolyton, which he himself created.

Dan has made it clear that he feels he no longer wants to play a part here on Poly, and I think we should honour his request to no longer be a part of things.

I would like to throw my support for removing the so-called 'PolyCast' altogether from the site, and allow Dan to set up shop elsewhere.

What say Apolyton?

he can keep the concept, but i'd prefer he call it something else. if it's not being hosted here, if apolyton members aren't participating in it, then it shouldn't be called polycast. civcast, maybe, but ultimately that's up to dan what name he would change it to. it's not like podcasts are a new thing.

I'd prefer if Dan was going to be moving future casts available exclusively at the new site that we keep the name and find someone to continue the Polycasts here if at all possible.

But otherwise I agree with Ben, if Dan is taking his ball and going to another site, then we should show him the door. Host it here or get lost.

DanQ has said he's taking it there. We could have CivCast or some other name if we want to keep a cast going. I really do find it funny that PolyCast is going to be at Whoopcie.

It's mostly stupid because the discussions are fairly stupid. The attempt at strategy discussion is weird because they never actually say anything of great significance.

Yep, exactly. I was rather shocked to hear DanQ, but if that's what he wants, then by all means. I like the man, but I hate his way of doing things.

Don't chase esb away. He has potential. He is just confused. Like a curious teenage boy at a gay bar.

No you can't. Dan owns the copyrights.

I wouldn't recommend trying to copy him either, it wouldn't end well.
