Interestingly, assuming neutral SOS, TCU is number 1 in the nation. TCU has better splits (and this is before the 55-3 game). They are slightly better than Oregon (who has a somewhat weaker schedule).

Baylor is number 3 with a substantially weaker SOS. Number 4 is Alabama, with the hardest schedule.

So in reality, the top 4 is TCU, Oregon, Baylor and Alabama. Free Shoes University isn't in their same class. Interestingly, Baylor is a better offense than Oregon, so TCU has already faced the toughest offense they could face all year.

Could hurt if Wisky had a win over any of the Big 12 - but they don't. Wisky's only wins are in-conference. Wisky ****ting the bed is an indication that the Big 10 West is incredibly weak, which will hurt Nebraska more than anybody else.

Don't think it will be enough tOSU's loss to Virginia Tech isn't going to change with an in-conference win.

Edit - Baylor has better splits than tOSU, no matter what happens here to Wisky. You just can't get that much strength by beating a two-loss in conference opponent who has no OOC wins.

To put it in context, tOSU isn't in the top 10 of teams according to Sagarin. They have similar (but less pronounced), issues as Free Shoes University. TCU btw was 3. Behind Bama and Mississippi State.

Wisky's OOC wins were University of South Florida, Bowling Green and West Illinois. They will lose a ton of strength (which they didn't have in the first place).

Biggest loser will be Nebraska who doesn't have a single ranked win this year, and the teams that beat them were Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan State.

The Sparties don't have an OOC win either, either losing to Oregon.

Really, this is just exposing the Big 10 west for what it was, a division full of clowns who didn't net a single OOC win. Against any conference.

Anyhoo, KState scored again. Down 11 to Baylor with 12 minutes to go. Baylor needs 21 on KState, so a TD + FG will equalize with TCU.

Ohio State - beat Navy, Lost to Virginia Tech, Beat Kent state, beat Cincy.
Sparty - beat Jacksonville State, beat East Michigan, beat Wyoming, lost to number 3 Oregon.
Wisky - lost to LSU, beat West Illinois, Bowling Green and South Florida
Nebraska - beat Miami, Fresno State (who's getting ****hammered by Boise), McNeese State and Florida Atlantic.
Michigan - lost to Notre Dame, lost to Utah, beat punting Miami and beat Appalachian State.

That means out of the big 5, Sparty, Wisky, Ohio State, Nebraska and Michigan - the best wins are Ohio State vs Cincy, Nebraska vs 6-6 Fresno State and that's it.

Just 2 bowl-eligible OOC wins. losses to Notre Dame, Utah, Virginia Tech, LSU, Oregon and TCU.

Christ. TCU played everybody in conference, not just their half. The champion (TCU), played everyone and had the best in-conference record.
