Again, the refs don't call penalties based on differential... they call the penalties they see.

Last I checked unsportsmanlike conduct is still a penalty.

Sorry Ben, you can complain in a 7 game series if you want, but in a 4-0 sweep, it's more than penalties differentiating these two teams.

Canucks scored more goals 5 on 5 in the series than San Jose. The Canucks were the superior team this series.

Yes, I know it's hard to believe - but that's the truth. +15 in penalties adds up to about 4 extra goals - enough to swing 2 wins, maybe enough to swing an entire series.

Yes, and the penalty differential this series wasn't 20 percent. It was >100 percent. 20 percent differential would have been 13 penalties to 15, or just 2 extra penalties over the series. Not 28 penalties.

With that 10 minute misconduct the Canucks had over 30 minutes disparity in PIMs. More than all the other series. Combined. I haven't seen bull**** like that since the '82 series where the top 4 in penalties were Canucks.
