  • So Sava, it was more like misfortune by the opposing team than the Bears playing lights out.
No worries. You can still help Alby when he drops by to say how Romo sucks and Eli is a god.

    • Bears fans were more shocked by no pre-snap penalties and no sacks! Cutler's INT caused by being hit on shoulder while releasing ball but D getting it back anyway made it moot. Tillman's first INT should have been a TD. He was hit before he had possession and not touched during or afterwards. Also, the one sack Bears got ball was coming out as knee hit ground. So maybe it evened out with the stupid mistakes by Bengals. Yeah, I know I'm being picky.

Cutler was 5-22 when behind going into third quarter. Hoping that he's overcome that. Amazingly some ratings had him #1 QB for the week. Huh?? Over Kapernick and Peyton??

            • I was trying to remember which ones. They were talking about it on the Score yesterday in transition between the mid day and afternoon show. I know one of them was some new QB rating and they didn't know how it was figured.

              • Are the Redskins terrible or are the Eagles really that dominant? Before Ben looks at the final score, you need to have watched the game to appreciate how dominant the entire Eagles offense, defense, and special teams was that game. It was scary. The offense ran 53 plays in the first half, leaving Redskins' d-linemen clutching their cramping legs.

                At half-time:
Total yards: 322-75. First downs: 21-3. Time of possession: 20:20-9:40. Philadelphia's 53 plays were the second-most in a first half by any NFL team since 1991.
And what the hell is going on with the Steelers? They played like a 4-12 team.

                • Re Steelers, they may well be (a non-playoff team). They have no offensive line and are hanging hopes on an injured rookie RB.

I have no idea what the story is on the Redskins. It looked to me like Chip Kelly basically ran his Oregon offense -- nothing that Shanahan should have been unprepared for.

You mean the same Eagles team that actually fumbled the onside kick and nearly pissed it all away? I wasn't impressed. RGIII carved them up. Washington looked good.

Score guys have no idea how they come up with stats and I couldn't find it on the site (probably under premium stats which you have to pay for) but if you look at their reviews of games they have Cutler at +6.1 and Peyton at +3.7.

I don't think a more delusional person exists anywhere.

The Eagles were up 33-7 with 13:26 to go in the 3rd quarter. They let off the gas.

                          • If that thought is based on your belief that RG3 had a bad game, you're the one that's delusional.

What? Did you see the game?

Their first seven plays: lost fumble by Alfred Morris, 3-yard loss by Morris, penalty for illegal shift, screen to Morris that got back some yards, interception thrown by Griffin into triple coverage, pass dropped by fullback Darrel Young, safety that occurred when Morris bobbled a pitch in the end zone.

The Redskins were trailing 33-7 late in the third quarter before three consecutive touchdowns -- the last coming with 1:14 to play -- made the score more respectable.

Wearing a brace on his right knee, Griffin completed 30 of 49 passes for 329 yards, but 169 yards came in the fourth after the Eagles had taken control. He was also intercepted twice -- the first multi-interception game of his career. He ran only five times for 24 yards.

Washington didn't run a play in Philadelphia territory until the second half. At one point, the Eagles were outgaining the Redskins 146-3. Even Kai Forbath, who made 17 of 18 field goals in his rookie year, was wide right in the third quarter. Shanahan's team also committed 10 penalties for 75 yards.

                              Here's all their drives:
                              1 play 3 yards; fumble
                              3 plays 1 yard; interception
                              2 plays -5 yards; safety
                              5 plays 16 yards; punt
                              4 plays 11 yards; punt
                              3 plays 1 yard; punt
3 players 8 yards; end of half
                              3 plays -1 yard; interception
15 plays 57 yards; missed FG
8 plays 66 yards; TD (3:36 to go in 3rd quarter)
                              4 plays 29 yards; TD
11 plays 52 yards; turnover on downs
                              9 plays 94 yards; penalty

They had 34 net yards before that 15 play drive mid-way through the 3rd.

Seriously, Ben's delusional ass can not possibly look at that drive summary and say Washington looked good. That was some of the worst football you'll see this season outside of Jacksonville.

                              • I'm the resident Skins fan here, and I'm forced to agree with Speer. The final score demonstrates that the Redskins managed not to embarrass themselves for the entire game. There was a point in the second quarter at which the Eagles had more first downs than the Redskins had plays.
