  • I like Snoopy's question also.

    What about the Lambeau leap?
That seems to be against the spirit of the rule but not specifically mentioned.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

    • I read this is mostly a point of emphasis on first downs, so the leap probably isn't an issue.

      • The Leap was grandfathered in when they made the original no fun rule. Personally, I think it's worse than some of the things on this list, but I probably wouldn't feel that way if I wasn't a die-hard Bears fan.

        • They need to just hand the ball to the referee and act professional about it. It's not their first rodeo.

          • There's already some backtracking. Salutes are permitted, as long as they are not directed at an opposing player as taunting.

            • I think they can't really justify rules like this and allow the Leap. Not only is the Leap celebrating, but it's actually a bit dangerous - what if Ron Artest scored a touchdown?

In particular, the fact that the WRs cut their routes off early never changes

Two INTs today, one by him one by the 3rd string practice squad qb, were WRs screwing their routes up. Can't we get a WR coach?

                    • Thing that doesn't change 2: Bears give up 7 sacks in loss to CAR. Sigh.

                      • Chargers only gave up 4. I guess the Chargers aren't the worst OLine anymore.

                        • Some things never change:

Blaine Gabbert is continuing to struggle. 5/10 for 19yds and an INT.
Eagles D still can't stop the run, especially at the second level. They gave up 248 yds and 8.0 yds per carry to NE RB's/Tebow.
Mark Sanchez had a very respectable 10/13 for 125yds 1TD but was picked off on an ill-advised screen. Bad mistakes continue to derail him.
