Well, it's not often you end up 29-0 with your QB and Running back under 100 yards combined. I was commenting on that to a friend during the game. Ridiculous luck factors.

The funny thing about this is the pick that Manning threw in Seahawks' territory that Ben is graciously crediting to the defense was the ONE RETURNED FOR A TOUCHDOWN!

Well don't you know that the NFL is calculating net yards wrong? They're not subtracting penalty yards. The NFL is no authority on professional football stat-recording. Ben is.

So therefore, if they're getting the definition of net yards wrong, they have no authority to say what the final score is.

I thought it was very noticeable during the game that Manning threw nearly everything underneath, especially in the first half when the game was basically decided. I'd be surprised if over a quarter of his passes were 10 yds or more downfield. And they were almost all crossing patterns, with the receivers moving laterally instead of downfield, and within the zone where the defense can hit them. I can recall twice where Manning completed two straight passes and it was still 3rd-and-3 or 4. I don't watch Denver every week, but it seemed really out of character for this offense. It would seem to indicate either really bad game planning, or an offense so under duress that it didn't have time to let routes develop.
