Too early to tell of course, but I like what the 49ers did in the draft.

On another note, watched the 30 for 30 movie From Elway to Marino, and was shocked that Walsh considered trading Montana for Elway.

I think that would've been a good move, honestly - about six more years of top notch QBing. Maybe or maybe not the same superbowls, who knows - but no need to luck out with Steve Young for the second set.

Is he fast enough? I always thought he was bigger and faster than the average quarterback, but I didn't think he was ever gunner speed. Now if you want to line him up as a trick play fullback we can talk.

Turns out the only interest teams have seems to be in Tebow changing positions - like becoming a TE or RB or WR. Reportedly, Tebow's unwillingness to change negated several trade attempts last year.

With the read/option becoming so fashionable, it's weird that no one wants him in that role. Isn't that essentially the only offense he's really well versed in?

I guess no one wants the circus sideshow that comes with him. Well, except Tebow's CFL rights-holder, the Montreal Alouettes. General manager Jim Popp says: "...We'd take a look at him and see if he can play in Canada, but it would obviously be competing for a backup job."

Montana was more accurate, however. Arguably the best field general who every played the game.

Agreed. It's a classic choice between God-given measurables and intangibles.
I was a huge Montana fan.
