I made the mistake of looking at the projected and the match-ups instead of going with my heart and the studs, and lost!

I would have lost by getting cute with Freeman over Ryan last week but the Titans D bailed me out courtesy of Sanchez. It really came down to that final fumble.

By all rights, I should have lost but my opponent started the WR triumvirate of Demaryius Thomas, Danario Alexander, and Kenny Britt.

I lucked the hell up.

Which 2 should join Marshall at WR? Roddy White? TY Hilton? Cecil Shorts? Brandon Gibson (whom I put a likely claim for)? Studs dictate Roddy gets one nod but he seems to be walking wounded and I wonder if Mike Smith would limit his snaps as the Falcons have little to play for.

JR did pretty well at auction but it looks like starting TY and sitting Danario cost him another championship to go with IDP.

Me and MRT still going at it. I need 24 points for Gore. He has 230. If he loses, or I top out past 220, one of us will have the best losing score of the season. PT Cruiser has been huge for me to close things out.

This team doesn't look too shabby now, does it? Even with my number one player going down - this team could have won a championship.

Fitz now WR 35. WR1, WR2, is 24 for a 12 team league. W/R/T, has 2 WRs, 2 RBs, 1TE, and 6th. RB 26 is Mathews who is about as good as Fitz this year. 11 TEs, so you are best off running this setup:

WR1,WR2,WR3,TE1,RB1,RB2, unless you have the RB depth like I do with Turner, SJax and Rice.

Is Fitz still a rosterable starter in a 12 team ppr league? Yes. Is Fitz Rosterable on my team? No.

Lessons learned for next year - if you're going to go with a stud WR to hold down your WR corp - stay away from Fitz. Two TE attack was a failure. Three RB setup wasn't a bad setup as RB depth is much lower than WR depth. TE's are still draftable early, but then, don't go with Vernon Davis as your 'stud' TE.

Fitz just makes the cutoff at 121.7. Golden Tate may still pass him, to bump Fitz down to the 'quality depth position', as an instant starter should you get any injuries on your team. Draftable as your 7th pick, around pick 76-96.

In short, my team is very different with Peyton Manning vs Philip Rivers, Roddy White vs Larry Fitz, Dez Bryant (vs Stevie Johnson), and Jason Witten vs Vernon Davis.

The team would look like this:

Dez Bryant
Ray Rice
Stephen Jackson
Michael Turner
Jason Witten.

That's a championship squad right there. It's amazing what 4 different picks do. That's how tight this league is. The strategy was fine - the player selection was not.
