  • Yeah, multi-INT games are a death knell with these settings.

    For Jag:

QB scoring in Auction League, season average pts/wk
    Robert Griffin III 42.11
    Drew Brees 40.19
    Aaron Rodgers 39.20
    Ben Roethlisberger 37.24
    Peyton Manning 36.84
    Matt Ryan 36.72
    Tom Brady 36.00
    Eli Manning 33.14
    Andy Dalton 29.83
    Matthew Stafford 29.82
    Joe Flacco 28.96
    Cam Newton 28.73
    Shaun Hill 28.50
    Carson Palmer 28.29
    Andrew Luck 28.26
    Michael Vick 26.88
    Christian Ponder 26.80
    Matt Schaub 24.45
    Josh Freeman 23.74
    Alex Smith 23.58
    Ryan Fitzpatrick 23.51
    Tony Romo 22.10
    Sam Bradford 22.06
    Jake Locker 21.96
    Kevin Kolb 21.53
    Jay Cutler 21.22
    Philip Rivers 20.25
    Brandon Weeden 20.21
    Ryan Tannehill 19.82
    Russell Wilson 17.46
    Kyle Orton 17.10
    Mark Sanchez 16.31
    Matt Hasselbeck 14.45
    Matt Cassel 13.59
    Blaine Gabbert 13.40

The fact that Griffin leads in QB scoring by 2 ppg yet has only 5 TD passes is notable. Yeah, I know, he has 6 more on the ground. The only other running QBs of note (Newton and Vick) are middle-of-pack, so it's not necessarily just a rushing bias. Every other QB in the top 10 is 1.7 TD/gm or more (#2-6 are > 2 TD/gm). #1 Griffin and #10 Stafford are both at 0.8 TD/gm.

      • Trying to decide if I should start Eli Manning (against Washington) or Jay Cutler (Detroit) this week. Eli is projected for more points but Cutler plays real well against Lions, esp. at home.

And i only got one point from Vernon Davis on Thursday night for a solo tackle. He wasn't even targeted in the game. Just what I need!

          • Eli is the safer target, he has a much higher floor. Cutler has the occasional near-zero point game. Eli won't have that, even though he might not score as much either if Cutler has a great game.

            • Eli hasn't had a fantasy-worthy start against the Redskins since 2009 and that was his only career good fantasy game against them. For whatever reason, Eli struggles against Washington (and Minnesota).

              • If a fanboy like Alby says to go with Cutler over Eli, well, there you have it: the definitive response.

                • I decided to make the change based on their stats against the respective teams. Maybe a mistake but not doing that well anyway this year. BTW, anyone know why I can't do tiebreaker 2 on pick-em? Did only the Thursday game last week and finished it up yesterday but it will only allow the first tiebreaker. Stupid Yahoo.

                  • And, as usual, the IDP debacle continues. Highest scorer will be on my defense. *sigh*. Team slated for 150. Won't even get half that. This is the last time I ever draft Fitz again.

                    • Guynemer, I notice you have Jackson / Spiller both in your lineup, I haven't been paying that close of attention, but have you done this before this weekend? (I know they have both had injury issues this year). I'm not sure if there is another RB combination (maybe Foster / Tate in Houston) where I would consider leaving both in my lineup if I owned both, but just wondering how it has worked in other weeks or if you are just doing it this week because they are up against the Titans?

                      • Who really cares about a second tiebreaker in weekly contests? I mean really, the reason Yahoo is stupid is for having such a detailed tiebreak.

                        • I have Nate + Britt. Worked out ok. 23 points combined. Now I have a chance to fight back to .500 in Auction league after curbstomping the formerly first place team. Wow, both first and second could go down this week in Auction, depending on how JR does the rest out. Anyways, you're welcome JR.

But for future reference, you need to pick the "first" tiebreaker before the Monday night games, and the "Second" tiebreaker before the first game of the week (Thursday).

As Jrabbit points out, the tiebreakers are a little excessive, I have used a final score of 26-24 for every tiebreaker this year, it not like I put a lot of thought into that, though I do like trying to figure out who I think will get the most/least number of points on any given week.

                            • Hmm, I am 2.32 points behind Guynemer's team heading into the Monday night game, and each of us has 1 defensive player playing tonight (both Bears)....so what are my chances of Lance Briggs outscoring Charles Tillman by 2.33 points or more?

(Both have scored big in recent weeks, but I don't know what to expect against the Lions). I wouldn't much care about a Lions - Bears game otherwise, but between it being MNF and the fantasy impact, it has me interested.
