Apolyton Fantasy Football (not soccer damnit)

Half the teams in both leagues are now 4-2. It's felt like an odd year so far.

One of my leagues:
3 teams 5-1
4 teams 2-4
1 team 1-5

Very strange. I'm one of the 2-4 teams. One of the 2-4 teams has the 2nd highest points scored, I have 4th and only a few points behind 3rd, less than 50 points behind first (ESPN standard league). I'm just glad it's a 4 team playoff so I have a chance to make it at this point (3 games out with 8 to play is a lot...)

Yeah, I needed about 38 points out of Rivers who was on track to do it first half and then had a lousy second half so no win again for me. Looks like I have to play Cutler the next few weeks. At least they are playing weak teams.

Tough call. I would stick with Beast Mode over the rookie, who hasn't actually done much so far.

The consensus on both ESPN and Yahoo are Martin > Lynch. I think it's owing to the opponents

Argh. I feel like starting a rookie who hasn't done much over Lynch is like getting too cute and it bites you in the ass but the expert consensus makes me think Lynch is actually the 'get cute' pick since it's actually defying the rankings.

Martin's in there right now. Will be too late to change soon.


Matt Forte is my other starter. He trumps either, I expect.

I don't have any special insight, other than to note that the experts are splitting hairs. Being ranked 5th vs 7th or whatever is an equivalency, not a key difference.

That said, every time I've leaned toward the Thursday night starter this year, it's been the wrong choice.

It's pretty crazy when your QB has 20+ at the half and finishes with negative.
