Not especially thrilled with my team.

The beauty of auction is you're not forced into drafting based on your draft position and can get whoever you want. Finding bargains and undervalued guys, which should be the basis of fantasy, comes to the fore-front.

I find it LESS stressful because I can get the team I want and I'm not trying to predict positional runs, predict where the guy I want is going to get drafted, etc.

The meta-game with auctions is hoping someone doesn't call out the guy you want to slip under the radar when there's still a lot of money in pockets. So I like to throw out second-tier names I don't want early (say Steven Jackson or Pierre Garcon).

I hope so. I had to get Matt Ryan when he was still there in the 8th (and I saw the guy who needed a QB somehow had [this is a 12-teamer, mind you!] Foster, AP, Charles, Colston, and Jordy Nelson, I couldn't let him get Ryan! He wound up with Cutler, though)

Had I known Ryan would have been there I would have drafted Harvin, Maclin, or Stevie Johnson who were all strangely still available when I drafted Rivers in the 6th. Hopefully I can trade one of Rivers or Ryan for an elite WR in a few weeks.

Now my final league is the auction league with my old boss' friends for the real money. Wish me luck.

Being able to get that top-5, drafting #11 out of 12 is amazing.

Forte-McFadden is probably pretty normal for that slot.
But being able to follow that with Graham+Julio in the 3rd/4th is hard to fathom.

With a base like that, adding Brandon Lloyd, Doug Martin at RB3 and two top-10 QBs is icing on the cake.

I wouldn't pull the trigger too fast on a QB trade. Not before the byes (and early injuries) kick in.

Are you playing against 4th graders? that team looks great. the only soft spot is WR and that's not that soft.

Post the next best roster in your estimation.

Got to love playing in a league for money where idiots draft the Eagles defense in the 4th round! Can't get too cocky, though. The guy with Cutler, Foster, Charles, AP, Nelson, and Colston scares me. Him and I seemed to be the main ones to benefit from noobs not knowing what they're doing.

Too bad my other league with the $1K pot doesn't have idiots.

Really? Wow, ok. One night and you're done. I find it way less stressful than the IDP draft.

Had no feel for the flow of things. I suffered from poor impulse control and made a couple mistakes.

Next time will be better.
