I don't know what Rex has against Tebow, but I'm guessing he just doesn't agree with him on religion. Rex Ryan is every bit the curmudgeon that his father was, and just as willing to hurt his team and himself just to make his point.

I'll never forget Buddy Ryan going to Philly as his first head coaching gig and cutting young WR Chris Carter just before the season, saying "all he does is score touchdowns." (Carter had 11 TDs the previous year; the real reason for the axe was reportedly his use of marijuana.) Carter landed in Minnesota and put up over 1,000 career receptions and laid waste to the Central for another 10-12 years.

The joke about QB's with hot wives is on field success is inversely correlated with the physical appearance of their wives. Cue Tim Hasselbeck, Christian Ponder, Ryan Tannehill, and your boy Romo.
