Pssh. My team is the reigning SB champs. I wasn't expecting a repeat this coming season.

Peyton Manning to Randy Moss, though...

The dark horse 49ers have emerged!

Even before he worked out for the Denver Broncos on Friday, Peyton Manning threw passes for the San Francisco 49ers and underwent a physical exam earlier this week, according to league sources.
Damn, Imran! Beat me by a minute!

Apparently the 49ers with their $20 million under the cap have jumped in. And the entire league has just shat a brick.

Tennessee's O-line is rated much higher, both in the running game and in pass protection.
Tennessee's defense game up significantly fewer points, and yardage was basically a toss-up between the two.

Assuming Manning wants to get back to the Super Bowl, seems like the Titans are a lot closer. Not sure what Peyton sees in Denver, unless it's just someone to force the bidding as high as possible. There must be something I'm missing.
I think it's the John Elway mystique, combined with Peyton's liking of John Fox, that is keeping Denver in the picture.

But I'm sure Peyton likes the thought of facing the Colts twice a year with the Titans.

Just point to Aaron Rodgers and say "it'll work out just fine".

Tennesee most definitely seems like a better fit for Manning. It's like a homecoming for one and they have some good pieces to surround him with. Heck, they were 9-7 and 1 win away from the division title with Matt Hasselbeck behind center.

    Denver I don't get either.

CBS reporting Broncos execs in air on way to Raleigh to "watch Manning workout". They land at 1:16PM Eastern time according to flight plan.

Going to seal the deal or make a last pitch to counter Titans???

update:NFL.com reporting Elway is on the plane.

I believe those rumors are true. Peyton will announce today (or at least eliminate the Cardinals so they can confirm their love of Kevin Kolb).

And yes, I believe he'll be playing for Tennessee.

All kinds of rumours running around Nashville that the deal with the Titans is done and that the announcement will be on Friday.

Rumours are, of course, just rumours.

    We'll see.....

Would be about the same as Denver. He can learn from a master.
