  • Somehow Texas stays at 15 while plenty of other better 1 loss teams drop.

And seriously, **** Clemson. They lose and don't drop at all.

    • They didn't lose.

When they lost in week 4, they did.

      ACK!

        BYU is better, defensively, anyway.

Yeah, I'm sure. Be a cold day in hell when I see TCU ranked fairly.

That is debatable, and their offense is a complete tire fire.

              13 points a game less and 90+ yds/game better.

              ACK!

Uh... Clemson dropped from #10 to #17 after losing to a (then) #4 ranked Florida State. They are currently #16.

TCU was #15 and lost to freaking Iowa State by 2 TDs (and their new starting QB had 3 Ints in the process - & he's likely going to be their starting QB for the rest of the season). Of course they are going to be unranked!

Against Washington State, Weber State, Hawai'i, Utah State, Utah, and Boise State.

                  I am underwhelmed.

TCU being ranked #15 was overrating, if anything. This last game proved that. They had played nobodies, and had only beat one of them in overwhelming fashion.

As I said, I would not be surprised to see them go 5-7, given the rest of their schedule. They may get lucky and pull out a 7-5 finish, but I'm skeptical of that.

                    • Well, the #15 was based on past performance - which, you know, is the way a lot of teams get ranked anyways. So I'm not terribly upset about that.

                      • Well, Oregon State's season just took a major hit. QB Mannion will be out indefinitely for knee surgery. Their backup is a junior who hasn't taken a snap in a game since 2010. While the Beavs have been leaning heavily on a stout defense, I can't see how they'll win many games in the meat of their schedule now, considering they've won the last four games with relatively narrow margins.

It was fun having two Oregon teams in the top 20 for at least a little bit, though.

                        • Gentlemen, let's pour one out for the Beavers. The impossible dream that was a Beavers-Cocks National Championship Game appears to remain impossible for another season.

                          • I feel like there could be a Beaver-Crimson Tide joke, too.

                            • The worst is when the Crimson Tide meets the Cocks... that's just a mess right there

25 to Air force and Umass scored 13. Boise State's offense scored 0 against BYU and yet, they are still ranked higher than Michigan.

BYU has Oregon State, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech the next 3, that should tell us.
