Yup Chicago is not p[laying well/ Vancouver IS playing well.

Crawford is an excellent goalie. That's why I said what I did at the start of the series. If Crawford plays well he could decide the series. If he's not up to par, the Hawks will be out. So far every game has broken down this way. Days where Lou was just a bit better, or a fair bit better, the Canucks won. Where Lou fell apart, and Crawford held up, the Hawks won. With a rookie goalie (unless it's Dryden or Schnieder), you'll see a dropoff during the season and inconsistancy. And that's exactly how the Hawks played. Either brilliantly, or just not good enough.

If this team wants to give Bobby Lou days off during the playoffs, then great, I'm totally onside with this. But decide it before the series starts.

Bobby Lou seems to just play better when he's not starting every game in a row. It's one of the changes that has been very helpful to him. Fewer games, more production.

I would start whomever I had planned at the start of the series. Bobby Lou gets shelled? I don't care. But then I see things differently then most folks!

Schneider is one of the top 5 goalies of all time.

Playing Schneider was definitely the right move. Whether Luongo is injured or just cracked under pressure is besides the point. In the last two games he was the stinkiest player on a stinky team, and you have to go with the goalie with the best chance of giving you the win.

I also agree generally with everything Flubber and Asher have said about Luongo. He's helped Vancouver in the regular season but he's never been able to step his game up when he's needed to.

Penalties will not always equalize. Sometimes the douchier team will get more calls against them. Solution is to be less douchey, not more.
