First ten minutes were very bad, but after that they did ok.

They were awful in the first period (on top of taking multiple dumb penalties), mediocre in the second (including not scoring on a long 5-3), and only really started playing in the third.

There have been many articles written lately about how odd it is that Canada isn't rallying around the Canucks as "Canada's team" in the playoffs. And all of them give valid points. It's a matter of picking which reason to root against the Canucks.

Decent start to the first. Canucks are now +2 in penalties for the series and the game is still tied, 0-0.

Sharks have only two more penalties to burn off. They are now 6/16, which is 37.5 percent. Still have quite a ways left to fall.

Figure we'll see a couple more to start the second and then it's game on.

Edit, Torres picks up another. So the Sharks are down to this one and then one more.

Game on now. Canucks are 7 down in shots, so the game is still in Shark favour.
