      Ditto

Almost everyone picked Anaheim-- I confess that I was a bit skewed in my view of them as I believe the Flames owned the Preds this season but they have a great goalie in Rinne and some great D-- I do not see a whole lot of stars up front and would not expect them to go deep but then again its not unheard of for a hardworking group to comeout of nowhere for substantial success

      • I will say, if only one of Vancouver and San Jose wins, Nashville has a great chance against the Wings; they gave them fits all season long.

West semis now either Vancouver/Nashville and San Jose/Detroit, or San Jose/Chicago and Detroit/Nashville.

The latter matchup is way more interesting.

              • Good news Canucks fans, the NHL has announced a special referree for Game 7.....Stéphane Auger! (not really)

.....I think we all thought about karma when Alex Burrows made his comments abuot Auger and the referees back in January 2010, who would have thought they would still be complaining a year and a half later in the playoffs about the referreeing.

You would have thought that Gillis would have figured it out, but apparently complaining to the media isn't a smart thing. At least the referrees in this series keep it on the ice (as it should be)...if they are partial or not may be debatable, but I would think that if you embarass the refs, it will come back to haunt you eventually (whether intentionally or not showing favouritism).

Congrats on the President's trophy... maybe you can take turns bringing it to your home town's this summer!

As I live in BC, I am amazed at the division in support of the Canucks, it seems there is no half way, you either love them or hate them...and there are plenty of both!

                /me

I think both teams acquitted themselves fairly well-- San Jose has to be more than a little concerned about Niemi's inconsistency but their team showed good resiliency and if Niemi can get it together on a regular basis, this is a team that could be scary

So its Van -Nash SJ-Det or SJ-Chi Det-Nash-- Either could be fun to watch

Oh and we haven't spoken of it much but those OT winning Bruins have taken their series back -- those wankers-- Go HABS go
