      • My disclaimer is when I lived in the Bay Area I went to Sharks games. So they're not "my team", but they're one of my preferred teams.

        • 612 Martin Brodeur 18 seasons

          551 Patrick Roy 19 seasons

          484 Ed Belfour 17 seasons

          454 Curtis Joseph 19 seasons

          447 Terry Sawchuk 21 seasons

          435 Jacques Plante 18 seasons

          423 Tony Esposito 16 seasons

          407 Glenn Hall 18 seasons

          403 Grant Fuhr 19 seasons

          401 Chris Osgood 16 seasons

          389 Dominik Hasek 16 seasons

          385 Mike Vernon 19 seasons

          374 John Vanbiesbrouck 20 seasons

          372 Andy Moog 18 seasons

          369 Tom Barrasso 19 seasons

          355 Rogie Vachon 16 seasons

          335 Gump Worsley 21 seasons

          330 Harry Lumley 16 seasons

          324 Sean Burke 18 seasons

          314 Nikolai Khabibulin 15 seasons

None of the golaies on this list are below average (except maybe Barrasso LOL)-- The shortest career among them is 15 seasons and no one lasts that long if they are not pretty good. But longevity alone is NOT the criteria.

Take Cujo-- 454 wins plus 63 more in the playoffs (51 shutouts and 16 more in the playoffs) but no playoff success--he won some series but nothing more. he is 3rd all time in wins yet I would not put him in the top 10 all time.

How about Osgood? He was such a star that in mid career he was left unprotected in the waiver draft and picked up by the Islanders

How about Tom Barrasso?-- he of the career .892 sv %-- he only cracked .900 4 times.

          • I noticed some predictions in the thread. I only watched a few games so I haven't seen most of the teams involved at all. I was very impressed by Anaheim though. Not so much by Sabres and Lightning.

            Rangers in 7
            Flyers in 5
            Bruins in 6
            Penguins in 5

            Canucks in 6
            LAX in 7
            Red Wings in 5
Disney presents the Mighty Ducks in 4

            East: Flyers
            West: Ducks

            Stanley Cup: Ducks

              • True, but you can't really argue Luongo didn't deserve one back in '07. If it weren't for Thomas and his insane season, he'd have it this year as well.
Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

                  • It's hard to see how someone who was never the best in a single year could be even near the top of the list for best of all-time.

But but asher-- its different guys that are better than Luongo-- Taken as a whole he is clearly the best-- Thats just as clear as the fact that winning one tough playoff series once clealy demonstrates that he is not a choker even if he gave up 6 goals on 12 shots in game seven this time out. Anyone with 300+ wins has to be considered with the other greats of the game like Tom Barasso

Brodeur was 31 before he won for the first time and had 354 wins by that time.

                        • Stars fire Marc Crawford after they miss playoffs. Good coach, so he will probably get another job quickly.
