This team has the talent, their record shows that they lack the heart. This was to be their year, where they would snatch the division from the aging Red Wings. Instead, they slipped to third. 2010 playoffs: 85.7%, 5 GA
2009 playoffs: 75.6%, 7 GA

The Minny-Dallas game was much much tamer, slower-- hell boring by comparison.
The failure to win a key game here should be worrying for Hawks fan sbut however they got there, they are in the playoffs and I doubt they will be shaken bu the Wings loss at all. They ARE the defending champs and they will be highly motivated to show they belong.
I think this is the worst possible matchup for the Canucks. I would like the Canucks over any of the Kings, Preds or Coyotes but the Hawks are a dangerous dangerous team and I don't see a whole lot of reason they couldn't go deep into the playoffs again.
On the flip side, if the 'nucks can beat the Hawks they should have great confidence for subsequent rounds-- still some hurdles-- ( Will Niemi prove he is really a superior goaltender?)-- those Sharks are incredibly talentedYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto LuongoComment
