I've always said he was solid, Al B. But he is not great under pressure, and has 2nd-tier arm strength. He is NOT the guy you want in there for the last drive of the game against a tough defense.Originally posted by Al B. Sure! View Post
Now, why does he seem so good?
1. Being forced to throw a lot. Denver has ZERO rushing attack (primarily injury-related).
2. He seems better than he is because he's so solid between the 20s. Lots of yards; not so many TDs.
3. Lots of safe, short-to-intermediate passes in the McDaniel offense; very stat-friendly.
