I would like to point out something that has gotten lost in the shuffle with the Cowboys' 0-2 start...

Miles Austin has 20 catches for 288 yards in the first two games. It's great to see an undrafted guy out of a school like Monmouth play at such an elite level. Romo and Miles look like one hell of an UNDRAFTED QB/WR tandem.

Umm, no. Collins/Young was a controversy last year, and Campbell plays for Al Davis. Why on earth did you think they were secure? Both are known, below average NFL QBs. Kolb is an unknown.

Are you serious? Collins/Young controversy? Umm... When Young went 8-2 after Collins went 0-6 and Young CLEARLY outplayed Collins by a mile... there was no controversy THIS year. Young settled that debate handily.

As for Campbell... Al Davis is retarded but they brought in Campbell and no one else to compete with him to be the starter. Straight up this is our starter. No one would have foreseen him being benched in week 2.

Because the Eagles want to see what they've got at QB and give Kolb a chance. Thankfully Reid is brighter then the fanbase who see Vick and start a controversy.

At Tuesday evening's press conference, coach Andy Reid insisted that his decision to switch quarterback had nothing to do with Kevin Kolb's health or his quarterback abilities.

Reid chalked up the quarterback change to Michael Vick being "one of the best quarterbacks" in the league. Vick is "playing out of his mind right now," added Reid, "and that's a beautiful thing." Reid went on to emphasize that Kolb can still be a franchise quarterback and "is not slighted by this one bit." Vick is simply playing too well to bench, and the Eagles are intent on winning now in a wide open NFC East.

The Eagles announced that Michael Vick will take over as the starting quarterback beginning this week at Jacksonville.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen and CSN Philly's Derrick Gunn both have sources confirming that the decision is permanent and has nothing to do with Kevin Kolb's health. Coach Andy Reid came to the conclusion after watching game film showing that Vick was undeniably a superior option going forward. The Jaguars have perhaps the league's most burnable secondary, leaving Vick as an elite QB1 option for a second straight week. If you snagged him off the waiver wire last week, well done. You have a weekly starter.

Kevin Kolb will head to the bench with Michael Vick being named the Eagles' starting quarterback.

Kolb (concussion) was cleared to play this week, but the coaching staff made the football decision that Vick was the better option going forward. After failing to answer concerns about his pocket presence, his Philly future remains up the air. Michael Vick is only signed though 2010, but he could be brought back in 2011 if he excels. Kolb will earn nearly $12 million this season holding a clipboard.
