Don't you hate when you have that happen? I actually kept Santana Moss on the bench in one of my leagues partially because Imran had him starting against me. I wouldn't be able to do that for the big name guys though.

well, I went 3-2 barring any scoring changes but I made some poor choices for the 1st week. Lost 1 RB (Grant) and another just scared the hell out of me in spite of scoring close to 20 pts (Best - 14 runs and only 20 yds?) and my WR corp is pitiful and my QBs aint much better. Ryan Grant screwed me as well. Fortunately, in that league that I have him, I have Ahmad Bradshaw on my bench so that's a no-brainer start against the Colts D that gave up 231 yards to Arian Foster and now is Bob Sanders-less. I'm actually debating starting Eli in that game over Phillip Rivers, believe it or not.

But Jacksonville's passing D is so weak... it's going to be a tough decision.

I actually also have Flacco in that league against Cincy so that's another option but I'm trying to trade him for a better skill position player. His performance tonight won't help me unload him though.

Al, they had a stat up, Rivers has the highest scoring average of any QB in the history of the game. Why would you start a QB against the Colt Pass D? I have their D because they usually get lots of tackles.

And umm... Eli is vicious with the play-action and he is going to want to one-up his brother... though the way that the Colts gave up the run, it's possible Eli's going to be handing off a lot... Rivers did not look good judging from the stats in that game against the Chiefs. The Chiefs no-name D gave him problems.

Granted, he almost got to 300 yards and had 2 TD's, but Eli did better than that against Carolina, which is a much more intimidating defense than Kansas City.

It's not like they have a shortage of backs. Run the ball, keep Peyton off the field, chew up the clock. They'll do that until the Colts D forces them to throw.

No Ints. That's the key difference between him and Eli. Carolina is a more intimidating Run D. Pass D they are very weak. Even so, Eli had 2 INTs.

It's 40 fantasy points. Look, I know you all think of me as an idiot, but if I know anything, I know Rivers. You have him, start him every week and don't worry about him. He won't put up 70 like Peyton or Brees, but you'll generally get 300 yards, 2TDs 1 INT. I'll take that every week.

Or roll a dice and take Eli. Eli has a much lower floor than Rivers. He has an unfavourable matchup against the Colt's pass D. Rivers is a better player with a favourable matchup.

Why? He went up against the number 1 pass D. Everyone knew he was going to suck. I was one of 4 percent who started Garrard this week (41, thanks), because of the matchup. Brady just destroyed Cincy. Their D is crap.

You should be trying to pawn off Eli.
