I wasn't talking to either one of you. That Imran calls me stupid shows who the stupid person really is. Guy, you're right behind him. I'll suggest again, shut up.
You might be well-advised to just say nothing to me until you actually beat me in some kind of charted competition concerning opinion.

If anyone's curious, Temple beat Army 42-35. 4-1 on the year. Penn State will probably be the only loss. Everyone left on the schedule has losing records except for Northern Illinois and Miami of Ohio.

They said everything I was gonna say. Your stupidity and belligerence is apparent to everyone.

I think snoopy369 best expresss the actual situation in 'non-rant terminology'.
Anyone want to bet on how much time will be spent showing Alabama's consumate destruction of Florida compared to the 'exciting' Oregon-Stanford game?
I remember a discussion at work not long after I moved here in 95 with a colleague who had played football for Tulane. I had not watched much college football and I stated my preference for high scoring games (I may have been doing a little 'bear-baiting'). He was espousing the superiority of the SEC style play (ie strong defense and 'smash mouth' football) and mentioned the lack of respect given to Gene Stallings'/Alabama's national championship victory. While I didnt understand it then, I do now. Too much media emphasis is placed on high scoring games with no defense and meaningless quarterback stats. An example of this bias was the selection of USC and Oklahoma for the 2004 BCS championship game. I maintain that Auburn would have beaten either of those two 'more exciting' teams.

Like I said, beat me in some other way besides beating my ears into cauliflowers with your big mouth.

I'm not sure what your point is.
Highlight shows are for, well, highlights. The Oregon-Stanford game had more highlights. The polls, however, will reflect Alabama's dominance--I'd be rather surprised if they didn't receiving every single first place vote in both polls, save a token one or two for BSU, OSU, or Oregon.

I fully give Alabama respect as the No. 1 team, but to suggest as you do with your "quotes" that the Oregon-Stanford game wasn't exciting is just silly. It was an incredibly entertaining game. What else could it be when a team goes from down 21-3 to a 52-31 win? The Duck's scoring drives averaged less than 2 minutes each--they put on a scintillating display of fast, agile offense. Even so, Stanford was still in the game until mid-4th quarter, while Alabama put Florida away early and that game lost any drama before halftime.

Apparently non-BCS teams can fall despite winning 55-0. Why not 2 over Ohio State?

The Ducks just laid the smackdown on a top ten team that is otherwise undefeated, beating them by 21 points. Boise State's stiffest challenge was against a team that is now 3-2, that lost to frickin' JMU, and which they barely beat by only 3 points. But since you want to tout lopsided cupcake games against opponents with 100% losing records, then Oregon beat New Mexico 72-0. Since 72 > 59 (not 55, btw), clearly the Ducks are empirically superior to Boise State.

A team they struggled to beat, and it's Stanford, a PAC 10 team. My question is why OSU at 2? Because the rule is that no BCS team ever falls despite winning.
