  • Luck throws an interception into his own end zone. Oregon still up 2 scores with only 2:15 left, and Stanford only has 2 TOs. That's all, folks!

      • I don't care if they can't go to a bowl game for two years or if they're going to be crippled by scholarship limitations for the next half-decade... I still get a kick out of seeing USC suffer.

          ACK!
          +5 million!

The anti-SEC bias comment was sure funny though.

Looks like Oregon wins 52-31, and Iowa has Penn State's number AGAIN!

Also considering: Arkansas, Michigan State, LSU, Miami, Iowa

Extra note: Utah could vault into the Top Five out of nowhere should they beat TCU later this season.

            • After the pain of last season's game, this win is incredibly sweet--almost as glorious as the beat-down on USC last Halloween.

                    • Don't give me that crap. So many are awed by the Big 10 and Pac 10, it's ridiculous. ACC is better than either of them.

                      • So, basically, **** gets real this week. Five games pair off undefeated teams:

                        Florida at Alabama
                        Stanford at Oregon
                        Wisconsin at Michigan State
                        Michigan at Indiana
                        Texas A&M at Oklahoma State

Several other undefeated teams face tough tests and/or potential upsets:

Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma, NC State, Nevada.

I think the home teams win the undefeated games except for Indiana (in a squeaker), and NC State, Oklahoma, and Northwestern get upset, leaving us with 17 undefeated teams next week.

I called the five undefeated matchups, as well as the Wolfpack going down, and just missed on the Wildcats. Despite the score, the Sooners were never in real danger. I didn't expect USC to challenged by the Huskies, let alone lose again. Now, Nevada isn't done yet, but they've got a two-TD lead early in the third quarter. I'll just assume they'll win for this week's undefeated report:

There are now 18 undefeated teams:

Big 12 (5): Nebraska (at Kansas State), Oklahoma (idle), Kansas State (vs. Nebraska), Oklahoma State (at Louisiana-Lafayette), Missouri (vs. Colorado)
Big Ten (4): Ohio State (vs. Indiana), Michigan State (at Michigan), Michigan (vs. Michigan State), Northwestern (vs. Purdue)
Mountain West (2): TCU (vs. Wyoming), Utah (at Iowa State)
Pac-10 (2): Oregon (at Washington State), Arizona (vs. Oregon State)
SEC (3): Alabama (at South Carolina), Auburn (at Kentucky), LSU (at Florida)
WAC (2*): Boise State (vs. Toledo), Nevada* (vs. San Jose State)

We''ve got only two games matching undefeated squads this week:

                        Nebraska at Kansas State
                        Michigan State at Michigan

I'm bucking my usual pattern and will take the away teams in both games, and I expect neither game to be particularly close.

A number of other undefeated teams need to be on upset alert; most notably, all three undefeated SEC squads are going on the road in-conference, always a dangerous proposition. I simply do not believe in either Mizzou or Northwestern, so both are on perpetual upset watch until their inevitable losses. Arizona had best be ready for those wild Beavers.

I think both sets of Tigers (LSU & Mizzou, not Auburn) and Wildcats (Zona and N'Western, in addition to the aforementioned KSU) are going down, leaving us with 12 teams remaining.

And yes, everyone sucks the SEC's dick. For them to complain about unequal treatment is like when an ex-girlfriend of mine complained that the media was unfairly maligning the Yankees.
