Patiorts, Colts, Steelers I agree with as a top 3 also. I think Ravens and then Eagles are 4 and 5. Giants I don't think rank up there, they're not as consistent. Eagles are 5 because they didn't win a superbowl, which DOES count against you - I actually think the Colts might have been the better team throughout the decade compared to the Patriots, but the rings definitely have their say here.

The Ravens had 7-9, two 9-7, 6-10, and 5-11 seasons. Let's not forget the Ravens QB situation when you're talking about consistency... Dilfer, Tony Banks, Elvis Grbac, Jeff Blake, Kyle Boller, old Steve McNair...Last edited by Al B. I think the Ravens' overpowering D is the reason I give them the 4 spot over the Giants. When you think of 'best defense of the decade' there is exactly one team you think of : the Ravens. Even if their offense wasn't always up to par, they were far and away the best D of the decade, easily placing in the top 5 Ds of nearly every year. Yes, their overall record wasn't as good, but they most definitely were dominating enough to be in the discussion.<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.

And since it's the Browns, who wants to bet Hardesty gets a Staph infection?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Wow. Housmandzadeh was such a huge free agent only two years ago. Too bad the Bengals are kind of stacked now with TO and Antonio Bryant so they probably wouldn't sign him though they'd probably be better off with him than TO.
Mike Williams is expected to start Pete Carroll must not have been following the NFL the last few years and thinks Williams is the same player he coached at USC"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

There were some trades... Patrick Crayton is a Charger now. Sage Rosenfels will be backing up Eli Manning."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Very weird that Leinart didn't draw some trade interest. To get nothing for a 1st round QB has got to hurt.

Listening to all the interviews, Matt Leinart seems oblivious to what's going on around him, i.e. the real world. He's been in Arizona for, what, four years now and he still doesn't have locker room support. Bad signs.
