I was feeling bad for DOY last night. If I was truly doing the activist commish thing, his bye week defender would have been replaced. But the replacement DB on his roster only scored 3.55 pts, and he lost by 4.32. So I guess he was doomed anyway.

Big Tuna predictions for week 6!

I'm now 22-13, and went 5-2 last week. I picked the wrong upset as EPW dealt Jag his first loss, while Berz won to reach 500.

This week, the marquee matchup is the battle between (1), and (2). Slowwy vs. Jag. Player by player, Roethlisberger should beat out Palmer, Santonio Holmes should beat out Housh, both have excellent matchups. Forte should beat out AP, due to the matchups. But the problem is Slowwy has greater depth at starter then just about everyone else. Biggest question is Rashard Mendenhall. Will FWP steal carries and TDs against the Brownies? I'm going to call this for Slowwy, his team is just too strong, and they all, except AP, have decent matchups this week. Slowwhand

Next up: Forte's Firemen vs Calamitous Intent.

It's been a bad few weeks for Guynemer, who's gone from 2-0 to 2-3. He has the misfortune to face the underranked Firemen trying to reach 500 as well. Both teams have weaknesses, Johnny Knox and Breaston? Really? Justin Fargas in the flex. How many carries is Sproles going to get as LT returns healthy? Rodgers vs Detroit is going to seal it, as Rodgers breaks his career best, and beats Matt Ryan, also coming off his career best last Game. Snoopy

Next up: Deviations vs Da Boys.

If the Firemen are underrated, what about Da Boys? Somehow they are 3-2. They face the underrated Koya, looking to pick up win number two. Starting Jason Campbell? Seriously? Don't see why you didn't run with Delhomme, but we shall see. Kurt Warner has an easy advantage. I don't think this will be as big a blow out as projected, but Spaced Cowboy falls to 500 here. Koya

Next Up:

Belichick Magnets vs. DDD.

David Gerrard over Bresus? Well, that will decide this matchup. Zopper is either brilliant, or insane. My vote is for insane. DDD has some good defensive matchups (I still don't believe in Cincy). Brady tears apart a Titans team looking at 0-6 and notches 40 plus points for DDD, who puts it out of reach. DDD wins to go 3-3. Deity Dude

Topeka Twisters vs The Priapic Love Wow.

Duke O York's team will get a win. It won't be this week, even though it's against the Manning-less Twisters who are starting Culpepper. Really? Wow ok. Jag's decision to squat on Roethlisberger, Hasslebeck and McNabb is looking better by the minute! I'd love to call an upset here, but I don't believe that DukeOYork has enough firepower. Berz wins to go 4-2, winning his fourth in a row, and returning to serious contention.

Next up:

Teh Peeled Bananas vs Vicious Rabbits

EPW scored 200 points last week. This week, he's rated at 142, and has Schaub and MJD for 60 points. That's not a good situation. I'm going to give this as an upset to Vicious Rabbits, who will win to return to .500 as EPW's team lets him down in a close one. JRabbit

Finally:

Jedibolts vs Hairball express.

I'd love to say that Tuber will smoke me. I think this week will finally be the re-emergence of LT, just as it was at the end of last season. I believe that LT will destroy Denver, as he has in the past. Same old analysis as always for my team, questionable at RB, strong at WR. I don't see Portis rumbling for 12 this week, even against KC. Tuberski's problem is depth, there is a large drop off after Fitzgerald at WR. Just how much playing time is Eli going to get? Ben Kenobi

Of course, many of us don't finalize our lineups until the weekend. I do an initial lineup on Tuesday (replacing guys on byes), tweak during the week and finalize after the late injury reports, inactives and weather conditions are announced Sunday morning.

Still, your predictions have amusement value.

I realise that. Guy made some really significant moves Sunday morning, (all of which helped him by about 15 points), so oftentimes what happens is the projections are off.

I'm glad you enjoy reading them though. I figured folks could get a laugh at how silly BK is doing.

I would note that Johnny Knox is the twelfth highest scoring WR, and that's including a bye week, thanks to his usefulness on both offense and the return game... and Breaston also is in the return game and missed the first game and essentially two, so he's averaging over 10 a game himself (and is facing a pretty mediocre pass defense). Cotchery might start depending on his hamstring, of course.

Yeah I was surprised to see them both. They've done well so far.
