Big Tuna's Week three predictions.
The Big Tuna is 9-5 so far.
We'll start with the matchup between undefeated teams, Slowwy (5) at Zopper (1). Drew Brees at Buffalo and Carson Palmer vs Pittsburgh. I don't think it will be close. SF has a decent rush defense, and should hold AP down. As much as I'd love to pick slowwy in an upset, I don't see the Zopper slowing down. At least not this week as the Brees express rolls through. Zopper.
The next matchup will probably be the closest. Tuberski exploded last week, as his team showed their potential by rumbling up 150+ points. I'm not convinced that Devery Henderson is the answer to the DDD's problems at WR, nor am I convinced that Brady will roll up 37 points this week, against Eli who is playing Tampa bay, who has horrible pass defense. Don't be surprised if this one comes down to the defense getting some big plays. Tuberski goes up 2-1 to get back on the good side. Tuberski.
Koya vs Jag. First big test of Jag's team, after rolling through the rabbit, and DukeOYork. Insert my standard critique, Royal is not the answer at WR. Neither is Laurent Robinson. Last week the dynamic duo cost Koya a win against Slowwy as he eaked out a victory. They'll let him down again as the Santonio squad rolls to 3-0. Jag.
Guynemer vs Spaced. Barber going down pretty much destroys him against Guynemer. Guynemer has made the fewest changes, and the most trades. They've been consistant week in and week out, but shouldn't have to be against the Barberless Cowboys. Guynemer.
EPW vs Snoopy. Branch at WR? Seriously? That's the first drop of mine on offense to show up on another team as a starter. There's a reason he ain't starting. That Jag/Houston game is key here, terrible defenses on both sides, and yet? I'm going to pick Snoopy to go 2-1. Upset city is my prediction as Snoopy wins a shocker to go 2-1. Snoopy.
JRabbit vs DukeOYork. The battle for the bottom, everyone has been waiting for this matchup. Marshawn starting in the flex spot, you really should talk to DukeOYork about changing it so he's at least starting a full team against the commish. Won't matter anyways as the commish notches his first win to go 1-2. JRabbit.
Finally, the matchup that I'm worried about Berz vs Ben. I've spoken week after week, about the strength of Berz's squad. We are the tale of two cities. His team has underacheived week after week while I've gone 2-0 without my number one pick. Two things. One, Tomlinson is out, and so is Jamal, leaving me with one healthy back. I'm glad whoever gave up on James Harrison dropped him, as he may end up starting for me in place of Jamal. That being said, the triplets, Ward, Colston and Jackson should still do well. Manning is against a decent secondary and so is Leon Washington, but then Manningham, will he continue his roll and have a disappointing game. Will McGahee rumble for 20+ points again, as Baltimore plays yet another terrible D? I'm going to call an upset for myself, even though I'm not happy being down 2 backs. Ben for 3-0, Berz to 0-3.
