No, he obviously would have preferred Dwayne Bowe. Very different. DD spent at least an hour logged in after that error and has not thus far opted to change.

What do the rules say about a player changing a BAPAY with an illegal player?

Read the rules; they are perfectly clear.

From post #10 again:

IF YOU ARE BAPAYED: You have the right -- within ten picks or 24 hours -- to change your assigned Bapay to any available player. (Players drafted after your Bapay are off the board.)

From the updated Bapay rules, Post #279:

If you have been BAPAYed, you have one round to swap out the pick and return the BAPAY to the draft pool. However, only players still "on the board" are available. Subsequent draft picks (including BAPAYs) are unaffected. No b1tching allowed.

So the original rule was 10 picks (which was one round last year). That has been amended to read "one round" (14 picks).

Is there anything unclear about this?

If he was happy with Vincent Jackson he would not have opted to change. Seems to me he would prefer another RB to a WR.

I don't see anything in the rules to deal with this situation.

we're usually pretty lenient, but from what I remember he can change the bapay...again if done within the time limit. Obviously he doesn't get the "illegal" player and he cant claim a player already taken after the bapay. Now I have no idea what y'all are debating and I certainly didn't expect a bapay myself so soon on a Sunday

but thats why we're fairly lenient. Sry Len, I had you last year and it was painful hoping you'd get a TD or bust every week even tho you got 15 somehow

if he tried to take 2 WRs (or 1) then intent was a WR. The rules aint spelled out in total and we typically give the commish leeway to deal with problems...

Isn't it obvious? He gets to try again until (1) he stops c*cking up -OR- (2) it's his turn again (at which the time given to swap a BAPAY runs out).

Actually, I think Berz's pick has to come off too, until DD sorts it out. You can't have two picks the same. Everything stops until DD sorts this out.

How much time has DD been on the clock? Is there an established time limit? Did he pass the time limit? If he passed the time limit, BAPAY occurs and nothing stops.
I could read back and research, but I don't feel like it.

nah, he gets a bapay to replace his mis-pick and he already has 3 RBs so he wont be taking Washington, or another RB

Ben, the top pick available at a position of need was Vincent Jackson. Period. End of story. If DD wants to change it, he may, but no mistake has been made (except when DD took another WR, Bowe, who was already off the board).

Once you have been BAPAYed, time starts moving on the next pick.

Berz's pick of Leon Washington stands. Koy remains on the clock.

Ben, I am requesting that you delete your incorrect, unnecessary and confusing post #323 with the two Bowe picks.

To respond to Ben's DanSed question: As Berz stated, DD already had THREE RBs. According to the rules, we CANNOT BAPAY him another until all starting positions (except kicker) are filled. The only choices were WR and TE, and WR V. Jackson was the highest rated player available on the Actual list at Yahoo.

Berz's post (correcting his BAPAY) is correct. The BAPAY clock for Koy started at 1508 hours CDT -- the time when that BAPAY was assigned.
