What's with "Huggy" Zackary Stortini and his inability to fight?

He wouldn't dance with anyone today. Even Matthew "Dreamy" Lombardi got 5 for fighting.

Stortini even refused to tango with Mark "Midget" Smith -- WTF?

He has many nicknames.

Huggy Bear, Scrotini, Huggy Zackary Stortini, etc. He's one of those waste of Oxygen players that MacTavish gives way too much ice time too.

He's not much of a fighter, but he is a good agitator. Took several Flames right out of the game last Monday.

I can not believe that ref negated Lidstrom's goal in the last minute.

That seemed to be a pretty outrageous call. Right up there with the Horcoff handpass last year.

Aside from Lidstrom, Detroit has been downright pathetic lately. Consecutive losses to the 30th and 28th ranked teams in the league, then another loss to Anaheim?

Detroit's long history of starting strong and stumbling when it starts to matter continues.

Won't cost me anything in the game this week fortunately, but still...

It was O'Halloran by the way (the ref). Supposedly goalie interference, even Giguere couldn't say straight out that it was legit "He was preventing me from doing what I needed to do". Yeah, like preventing you from winning...

Florida Panthers forward Richard Zednik was rushed to hospital for surgery after taking a skate to the neck in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Buffalo Sabres at HSBC Arena.

With the Sabres leading 4-3 midway through the third period, linemate Olli Jokinen - who was being checked in the Sabres' zone - fell forward and his skate accidently flew up and caught Zednik's neck.

Zednik bled profusely from the cut but was able to skate toward his bench where he was met by the trainer and immediately ushered to the locker room.

Zednik is listed as stable and was transported to a hospital.

Players, coaches and fans sat in silence after the accident, and the game was delayed for 15 minutes as the blood was cleaned off the ice. Fans gave a standing ovation after the public address announcer gave the update on Zednik's condition.

That'll be illegal next season, or it should be. That's just bad. You can't skate into the goaltender and his stick, then with those pinned down spin around and put it in behind you.

Indeed... if I were Savard I'd protest the game. That wouldn't be legal on a normal goal, how is it legal on a penalty shot/shootout goal?
