    How invisible is Hemsky?

    At what point do the Oilers give up on him and his overpriced contract? This is his 5th NHL season, and he's been outplayed by Gagner and Cogliano.

        What a movie by Hemsky!

        Tried to do a Toews-like move without the talent. He just collided with the d-man and fell flat on his face.

        Then Matt Greene -- again a graduate of the McCabe school of defense -- takes a penalty to ensure the momentum stays with the Flames.
        Then Stoll promptly takes another penalty!

                My fantasy team came through with me today. Was trailing all week, but 2G 8A 2PPG 4PPA and a couple 95sv%+ games came through for me and buried nye.

                  So I'm up 3-1 on nye...but we've got 2 skaters each tomorrow and we're tied in 3 stats (G, PPG, +/-). Big swingtime.

                  I've got Stastny and Pierre-Marc Bouchard, he's got Gaborik and Rolston. Fun times!

                      I seem to have learned something about assists tonight

                      ON Aucoins goal, the puck goes

                      Phaneuf, Aucoin, TANGUAY, Aucoin who scores cleanly

                      I would have thought it would have been a goal for Aucoin with an assist to Tanguay but no . .. Phaneuf got an assist as well

                      It was the same on the empty netter by Michalek in the SJ game-- He and Thornton passed it back and forth a couple of times but Grier still got an assist.

                      IS THERE ANY LIMIT TO THIS? If the puck goes from A-B-C-B-C-B-C-B-C does A still get an assist? I always thought he wouldn't.

                      Oh ya, the rule says this

                      An assist is awarded to the player or players (maximum two) who
                      touches the puck prior to the goal scorer, provided no defender plays
                      or possesses the puck in between.

                        I'm in a similar boat I lead Jonny 3-2 with shutouts,PPG and PPA tied. Tomorrow he has Sedin and Norrena going for him while I have Brunette and Vyborny. The key will be Norrena since if he doesn't play, Jonny will be short on goalie games and it goes to 5-1 lead for me.The fact that Leclaire is on a huge shutout streak on a team that will need every point if it hopes to make the playoffs , should mean that Leclaire plays but who knows. Their travel is light and no back to backs so I would expect them to ride the hot hand

                        But it is a big swingtime for me too. I could win this week HUGE or even lose it outright based on the play tomorrow

                          I take it you didn't like your chances either, since you added another skater to your team at the last minute to try to get the skatergame count in your favour to see if that works.

                            Hmm, I figured I had no chance at any of the goalie categories as even with a Luongo shutout I wouldn't gain enough save percentage to make up the difference and the wins were already a lost cause, but Luongo isn't even playing today, meaning I will still likely likely beat Tingkai 4-3-1 but no chance for much of a change in any of the categories with today's games. Not great, but compared to my first two weeks I will take the win.

                            Ironic that I lost 2 of the goalie categories as they have been my strength the previous two weeks.

                              I guess its just the expected ups and downs when you measure performance in increments of 2-4 games.

                              Although I would say so far you have had a pretty nice surprise in how well Cam Ward is playing and not so nice one in that Luongo has not been that great yet

                                Although Toskala has not been that great either, my reason to avoid him would be his run and gun team--
