Certainly you saw him cost the Bears a timeout, not knowing where to line up on a key 3rd down play.
Actually I missed that (saw the timeout, missed why). I know he doesn't know the playbook perfectly, and that was his trouble in Miami also, but if you think of him as a rookie - and one who got little time in training camp - I think he's doing okay; a lot of rookies have playbook issues (and how many rookies get much playing time, not to mention the spotlight? Even Calvin Johnson isn't a full time starter, and the Lions need every catch he ca give.

Maybe someone needs to sit down with him for a few days and just go over play flashcards I'll volunteer ...

        • It was obvious that he had NO CLUE about where he was supposed to be on the field. I think Muhsin Muhammad showed a lot of patience and class by trying to get him positioned.

They really need to sit down with him and get him up to speed. That was a costly time out the one time he had no clue.

          • Why am I getting flashbacks to Forrest Gump? Do we need "STOP" signs for Hester as well?

            • Hmm, guess playing bioshock while watching the game isn't good for my comprehension skills

Glad Mush was there to help him out ... maybe he'll smack him over the head a few times and get him to learn his routes It's obvious (and was in miami) that he isn't good at learning these things - and i'd guess is actually not good at it, he's had so many reasons to try that I can't imagine it's lack of effort ... maybe we should call the Sylvan Learning Center and get him a tutor

              • let's hope he was joking. NFL player doesn't know they speak English in England?

quick copy and paste job, the captions might be in there as well

Maybe he was joking, but gregarious Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder confessed today he didn’t know until Tuesday that people spoke English in London.

Poll: Do you think he was kidding?

Crowder, a former Florida Gator and Atlanta native, apparently isn’t sure where the plane is headed when it takes off this afternoon for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants in Wembley Stadium.

“I couldn’t find London on a map if they didn’t have the names of the countries,” Crowder said. “I swear to God. I don’t know what nothing is. I know Italy looks like a boot. I learned that.

“I know (Washington Redskins linebacker) London Fletcher. We did a football camp together. So I know him. That’s the closest thing I know to London. He’s black, so I’m sure he’s not from London. I’m sure that’s a coincidental name.”

When reminded Dolphins practice squad receiver and NFL Europe veteran Marvin Allen is from London, Crowder’s standup routine didn’t miss a beat.

“He’s from London?” Crowder said. “I knew he was from over there because he talks funny. I was surprised (when they met) because — I don’t want to say he didn’t look the part because that’s a stereotype — but he didn’t look the part. I heard him talk, and I thought he had a recorder and was just mouthing.”

                          It's nice down that way.

The 'missing' bit in the middle collapsed in 1990 leaving 2 people trapped on the remaining part of the bridge.

                              • What's up wit da Bears? At home behind at the half to the Lions, 13-0.

Jason Hanson even doinks a 52-yd FG in off the upright.
